I assume there is already a team checking to see if any other officers are implicated or have been negligent by discounting him in prev cases .
I assume now the cops have reported themselves to whoever the governing body is, that a full review of the force itself will take place. As you allude to ensuring no other officers are implicated and has he committed any previous unsolved crimes. Hopefully making some sense of this case, may answer how deep they have to look into this.
most likely thing is probably something like when checking number plates near where an offence took place his flash up but when they see he is a serving officer they take no follow up action but just assume he wouldn't be involved .
Whats with the womans rights campaign suddenly kicking into gear on social media? We don't even know anything about the case. 2 people have been arrested, one including a woman.
It's a campaign I believe Jesse Phillip (Labour MP) is highlighting in the Commons. She was just chatting about it on SKY News, I think she said that since the disappearance of this victim, that six other women have died in this country at the hands of men. The point being, although it is rare to be killed by a stranger, it is not rare to be killed by a man you know....something like that anyway.
I'm sure Jess Phillips, who's braincells fail to add up to six, has a great suggestion to prevent such acts. Bar living in some Amazonian society. I dunno what society everyone else lives in, but growing up it was made abundantly clear to me that rape and murder is bad. There was no nuance to this, no "well, maybe in this circumstance rape and murder is ok." We are talking about people who are clearly mentally deranged, I'm sure most violent city crime affects men. The only difference I seem to see is that crimes of passion affect woman and people care more about crimes of passion as opposed to your bog standard violent crime. I'm not for any type of crime, just stop crime. I dunno why the sex of the victim makes us care more about a crime.
Are you suggesting I go to Jess Phillips' house, confront her at her door and ask her how we stop evil men? Soz ill just take everyone elses opinion on this "Bad da, was for dinner anyways"
