If they have bus video of him, I imagine he's caught on camera at least talking to her. That may have led police to his home down in Kent and the finding of a body etc... The assistant commissioner's demeanour suggests strongly they believe one of their own is responsible

Women are up in arms at the Sarah Everard case, quite understandably, and are demanding something is done. But what can you do against this tiny percentage of the male population that are sexual deviants and predators? I doubt talking to children in the classroom will make much difference. These predators have this dark need in the DNA and also probably exacerbated by their life at home.

Yeah agree. As I said yesterday that Policeman's demeanour told a story. Followed up by a shocked commissioner. If they thought for one moment he was innocent then they would be supporting him.

All sounds a bit grim now. Latest is they are struggling to identify the remains. What the #### did he do to her? They are searching other areas of this wood.

It shows how you perceive yourself, even reluctantly, if you have answered honestly. Personally I think all this old fashioned class bollocks is just that, but it has a strong grip in this country so can’t be ignored.

Yes, it’s not an intelligence test or a quiz. It would be odd if you came out as something you didn’t perceive yourself to be.

Nah, just means he likes sausage and beans but is wracked with guilt by his privilege. I had one b, two c’s and the rest d’s. I was also the first person in either side of my family to stay at school over the age of 15, let alone go to university. Which is why these things should be about what people identify as rather than what they are.

    Mostly As
Precarious working class. Making ends meet can be a struggle. You don’t spend much time thinking about class; other things feel more pressing.

    Mostly Bs
Established working class. You take pride in a hard day’s work and think your class background has given you a good attitude in life.

    Mostly Cs
Upwardly mobile middle class. You enjoy the little luxuries that you can afford that your parents might not understand: travel, the theatre, avocados.

    Mostly Ds
Upper middle class. Waitrose is becoming a little passé. You sometimes feel a bit guilty about all the advantages you’ve had . . . Oh well!

    Four As and four Bs.....

I know I put this on the review thread, but you really must watch Darren McGarveys Class Wars on iPlayer. I've watched the full series now, and it's a great eye opener into how we decide what class we are, how we mobilise ourselves through the classes, how we perceive those in other classes and the effects this all can have on society.
