I could handle it and was daft enough to go looking for it but the penny dropped at some point and I stopped being a **** (allegedly).
Maybe I just put shhite tobacco in it, who knows, but always enjoyed cigs and cigars without a problem. Can't remember exactly but I was somewhere between 9 and 11 years old when I started smoking, then took it up properly once I could afford it at 15/16, that's when I got a job. Became more sensible with the smoking habit as I got older and the warnings were getting rammed down our throat.
don't know if anyone else read the world news, but found this an interesting article. but the thing that struck me (not in this article) was the yanks used to ship loads off drugs back from here during the viet war.. i think it was heroin then. https://news.sky.com/story/asias-me...iland-are-leaving-thousands-addicted-12207643
My grandad used to smoke a pipe, proper old school, sat in his favourite chair with plumes of smoke wafting over the top every now and then. My Gran went to bed one night and got up the following morning to find just his feet in his slippers, at the base of a smouldering chair.
SKY News have been running one of their special reports on it all day. Prisons are totally crammed, 200 sleeping to a cell, loads of women in jail. One of them in the report, jailed for 10 years. The Golden Triangle.
i have a great interest in the vietnam war, and that taught me about the golden triangle, and the yanks helping to run the heroin and poppies across the borders. Even using coffins to transport it back home. Now it's metths and yabba coming across the borders. It's kinda weird, considering myanmar (or burma as i still call it) is under a revolution, with the govt troops killing hundreds, but not stopping the export of the worlds largest supply of metths.
When we were out and about my dad used to have a puff , then if we went into a shop for instance , he would tap it out . That was fine until he had a puff outside the house one day ( my mum would not let him smoke indoors) we were having dinner and my brother asked what the burning smell was . Went into the hallway and my dads jacket was almost on fire !
I'm in a bit of a tough time at the moment. It's a heart and head situation.. So i will be changing depot fairly soon (rumour are within 2 weeks, despite having this week off) My heart says stay, as i'm totally suited to this depot, cos i'm a ****ing beast and suited to hoying heavy **** around, and driving their trucks etc and one of the best bunch i've ever worked with. Head says, **** it, get out of there, to old for ****, and do i really need the ****? Get somewhere warmer and lighter. It's not an easy call, but i know the right thing to do.
the golden triangle mate, where the 3 countries border, with a massive scope to export. The yanks used this to their full advantage during the 60s and 70s.
why, it's still gonna be a lot of work, just not as heavy. surely once you get older, working the body is more important.
Feel like you need to decide what your evaluation criteria includes. 1. Slags 2. Pay 3. Sluts 4. Boring **** ratio 5. Variety of snacks available
pay is the same, it's the same company. can't just nick a snack for break. slags and sluts are a plus. i've worked there before, and it has the 2nd best crew i've ever worked with in this game, the best being down in surrey with all the mad southerns.
Yes but not to the extent you appear be using it Just have to be sure you dont go to the opposite to where you are now with work You have earned a rest, maybe when things get going you can find a job that keeps your mind and body working Or find yourself a young woman to keep your body working after work
