Maybe your reference to prostitutes was just a bit cold mate. Or just a bit outdated as firstly, police tend to give a **** about finding their murderers these days, and secondly the forensics is way too good for anyone to get away with it in the manner you described from 30-40 years ago. There are even examples of cold cases which couldn't be solved back then where killers have been brought to justice decades later based on modern forensics.

The police have a very good idea who this should be. They can compare DNA quickly, as it will be top priority.
