I initially considered him over-hyped due to being at a 'big' club. If anything, he's proving to be even better than that hype. Humble pie eaten.

If we’d have lost 3-0 I don’t think we’d have been too disappointed. So I’m strangely happy with the performance considering we conceded 5.

City have beaten countless teams by three goals or more and we had several key players out, so there are positives to take into Brighton - as well as improvements, particularly our individual errors.

Strange that I`m not too disappointed after that - plenty positives to be taken. Next game please!

He started off earlier by saying we gave it a good go, now he's saying we were far too open and can't play football the way we did. ****ing idiot. First of all, we were likely to lose even if we put everyone behind the ball. Second of all (and most importantly), we had no holding midfielder alongside Prowsie. Jack was out of position.

Just a little frustrated with the manner of the goals we conceded but can't fault the effort and endeavour from the lads tonight plus it was a very good watch.

If that Mac tackle on Foden had been deemed a penalty, would it have been a red card also?

He’s got a point about our defending. Okay, we defend from the front, but against City it is perhaps a little naive to approach the game the way we did. Though I’m not really complaining because I’d sooner lose having a go, than defend for 90 minutes and still lose.

When it was 4-2, I was thinking, that’s a decent score line against this lot.

Hope Che doesn’t become the new off side champion of the South coast.

We could have defended better granted, but our approach was the right way to go. Under Hughes we tried to sit deep with numbers behind the ball. The result: 6-1.

Hi, haven’t posted in years but thought I’d shove my oar in! I think teams like City have players who pressure other teams into making mistakes. Like others I was fearful of being thrashed before the game. In the end I think we were pretty good at times. The gulf in ability owing to the amount of money at the top teams is something teams like us can only compete with when at full strength with a following wind. And we all know our current situation ! Let’s judge ourselves against Brighton .

The only disappointment, for me, was how we made errors that were punished.
I thought Diallo took our midfield by the scruff of the neck, when he came on, and I loved the run forward with the ball which, against lesser teams, would have caused panic.
