Don't need to you've just done it. Why should I not support a thread creator if I happen to agree with him? I am sorry you took the word 'old' as an insult, it was not intended as such, it is clearly shown on your profile what your age is you being somewhat younger than me. It was you that began the insults sonny Jim.

I consider myself a Cullen fan but since reading what OLM has said about Cullen going backwards I'm starting to agree with that. I was really impressed with him at youth and reserve team level and then in the PL where he looked a real handful. He followed that up by scorng in almost every friendly that summer and then in the League cup at Brentford, I was convinced from then that he could be useful for us in league games. His movement and finishing were really good then, I don't think those skills should suddenly disappear, particularly in a 19 year old, so for people to say he's never going to play at this level, he's awful and he always will be etc is just daft. Clearly he hasn't gone on from there and improved but rather the opposite. I was interested to see how he'd do at a half decent League 1 side, but he's had a difficult time at Bury due to injuries. I think the plan should be to get him fit and get him back there or somewhere similar to finish the season and see how he does given a proper run at that level.

EDIT: Oh and the "He's always offside" argument doesn't hold with me. Everyone says Fryatt is our best striker and he's offside more than any other footballer in the world. Particularly at times when he really doesn't need to be i.e. when dropping deep for the ball.

@ THETIGERSHULL, we fell out on a thread like this a few weeks ago where you were simply stating that Adebola was **** and a disastrous signing without backing this up with any reasoning, I kept pointing out to you that he hadn't actually had a chance and we should perhaps reserve judgement on him until he does, and you replied with a post saying something like "I'm sticking to my opinion that he is **** and a disastrous signing." with even less reasoning than your initial point. Since then you posted some more sensible things on other topics which made me change my opinion of you a bit but here you're back to "He's **** and he'll never be good, and no I don't have to have a reason for saying that, it's just a fact." <doh>

Sorry guys, been busy somewhat last couple of days with the birth of my beautiful baby girl !!! Love her to bit, any how back to business...

City, in particular Cullen and Adebola - Both are no good and if you care to disagree well that fine sonny Jims, from now on I'll have better things to do than to try and prove I'm right to those of you who think EVERY City player is the next Wayne Rooney.

Adebola was a mistake purchase, NP will admit this publicly one day. Cullen has never been good enough in my opinion and OLM's for that matter too.

George - AKA i saw the premier league tigers, I dont ever recall us having fall outs, disagreements maybe on how we both view things, in particular yes our differing views on Adebola, he's crap George, would make an awesome League 1 player, could see him banging in a few goals for a side like Scunny for example and if he did people like yourself would be the first to say I told you so only to bear in mind league 1 and the Championship is a huge gulf in difference, I am sure Adebola was a player in his time, some 15 years ago or so.

You do make me laugh though my dear friend George, in that you agree with everything OLM has had to say despite contradicting yourself saying your a Cullen fan.

Might not be on here so much over the coming weeks chaps which I am sure will please some due to family committments.

Keep the City fire burning People .... UTT

It hadn't occured to me that Cullen was going backwards a bit until OLM said it, and that made me realise it was probably the case. Despite this I have always been excited about the proespect about Cullen. Surely that's allowed? You're still misunderstanding me, I have never said either of those players is amazing, just that I think it is wrong to dismiss them before they have had a chance to prove themselves. We all trust NP's judgement and this is what makes me think Adebola can come good for us when he is required. None of us have any facts to go on regarding Adebola because he hasn't played, so no one can say he's definitely a mistake purchase. The same argument stands for Cullen.

Nonetheless, I don't expect you to back down ;)

Cullen shouldn't be given up on just yet, footballers sometime develop early some later, he obviously has an eye for goal, but I agree with those that says he should stay out on loan to find his feet so to speak, then you can assess his development in a competitive environment.
