A lot to be said for just playing once per week for a while.
I'll miss the Tuesday evening game though, its become a bit of a routine

We didn't buckle to physicality or going a goal down.
We normally buckle when teams bully us.

'Someone' on here recently said we couldn't/wouldn't win ten in a row, we're 40% of the way there! :emoticon-0110-tongu

Using this logic then Donny hold the nap hand as if they win their games in hand and you do too, then they'll end up a point in front of you.

But as neither of you will win your games in hand then we're in the driving seat, so you're wrong whichever way you look at it.

As an aside, I've spent ****ing hours yesterday and today trying to book into the Washington Nightingale vaccine centre.

    Sort it out will you?

    It's ****ing bab.

Really needed that win tonight, still long way to go but with their games in hand it was vital we got the points. I thought they were lucky to win here but I was really impressed with them at the beginning. However 1.0 down and to come back and win it was great. According to HDM six wins now needed let’s hope it continues against a decent Oxford side on Saturday but has for tonight it’s another victory which is getting us nearer that finishing line.

Nowt to do with me, pal. I'm in Durham and got my jab within 2 days of being invited to book.

Why won't we win our games in hand? I've been pessimistic all season but the way we are playing now and winning every game comfortably, I don't think we'll drop many points until the end of the season. I think we'll win the league, now.

Obviously we'll blow up and finish 7th after I've posted this.

That won't be enough with the way it's looking now. We might need close to 90 points just to finish second.

Best thing to do was stand in C&A doorway; if she doesn't turn up, you save face, and if you were pissed when you made the date, you can check if you made a blunder, and slink away....

    Enjoyed the game tonight.

I can see why Peterborough are doing well. Couple of players who really are worth watching in that team.

Whilst I'm pretty certain he is employed as a builder! City coach would be a step down.

Firstly, when I was reading other posters comments, I thought I had inadvertently strayed onto the CORONA Virus thread.

Onto football, great win to see off Peterborough, we obviously got a helping hand with the sending off but nevertheless, it is often not easy to play against 10 men with a well-organised defence, so credit to all concerning for getting the win. I felt KLP goal and the timing of it was crucial, as that helped relieve the pressure a bit.

Honeyman was immense again, and his ball in for Burkes goal and absolute peach. I have been critical of McCann and his apparent inability to change tactics when the opposition changes theirs, but credit where credit is due, and he has really sorted out our set pieces and we are much better these days than we have been in the past.

Another big game Saturday, and we cannot take our foot off the gas, we have to keep winning, as Sunderland is really on a roll at the moment.

Darren Ferguson was left furious with the quality of Peterborough United’s defending in Tuesday night’s 3-1 home defeat to Hull City.

The Tigers came from behind to record a huge win at the home of their closest promotion rivals, to move three points clear at the top of League One.

Posh flew out of the traps in the opening stages, taking a deserved lead eight minutes in when Reece Brown crashed in from close range.

Reece Burke headed in George Honeyman’s pinpoint free-kick a little over 10 minutes later to cap a frentic start at London Road, before the game turned on the sending off of Ethan Hamilton.

Already booked for a late challenge on Honeyman, Hamilton crudely took out Lewie Coyle just before the break, picking up a deserved second yellow from referee John Busby, a decision Ferguson lamented.

Keane Lewis-Potter and a Mallik Wilks penalty before the hour mark capped a terrific fourth straight win for the Tigers, to leave Ferguson contemplating a second straight defeat.

“We were outstanding for the first 20 minutes of the game,” said the Scot.

“I couldn’t believe how in control we were, we could have been three goals to the good. I thought our shape caused them all kinds of problems from minute one.

“We then conceded a terrible goal from a set-piece. That was very disappointing.

"With regards to the sending off, I thought the first booking was soft, because it is his first tackle in the game, but when you have been cautioned you have to stay on your feet.

"When I watched it live, I actually thought he was fouled, but when you watch it back, it is a yellow card.

“We made the change at the break to bring Sammie (Szmodics) off and bring Niall (Mason) on because he is a bit more defensive minded. Sammie was playing well so it was a tough decision to make but we had to sure it up in there.

“At half-time, I said we are still very much in the game, keep the shape, see how long you can take it into the second half because you will get chances, but we have conceded two more terrible goals.

“I have to say the manner of the goals we have conceded of late has been not good enough.

“The opposition haven’t had to work for it. It is not good enough.

“Rather than focusing on the red card, we have to look at the goals that we gave away, they were terrible goals to concede and our set-pieces with 10-men were nowhere near good enough.

“When you have 10-men, the set-pieces are key and we didn’t cause them any problems.

“I am disappointed to lose the game, 11v10 or 11v11 and I thought had it stayed as an 11v11 game, we were very much in control of the game.”
