I think it’s fitness, he wasn’t fully fit last week but he’s got to be in the team when he is at the moment. On a pitch like this a decent target man is very important. But if he’s injured I guess his hands are tied.
With Magennis out then Wilkes has a massive role tonight. Whyte and KLP are not exactly the strongest players strength wise and up front we are going to have to hold that ball up well.

Yep. Every player looks crap in this league so a run of form can change opinions easily enough. I seen Wilkes taking a hammering on here earlier in the season that seems to have subsided now.
He has netted a few .. but still has an awful lot to learn .. he is still a young kid in footballing terms so we can only hope he does in fact learn such as his decision making is still shaky to say the least
