He should have gone to one of the Belgian teams who were in for him last summer. I know Lazio is hard to turn down, but he was never going to impress at a club trying to get Champions League football. He'd probably have done quite well in Belgium and maybe turned a loan into a permanent move.

We've got form on 'not fully committed' players. It's a business decision based on risk analysis. Danny staying or going is purely business. If he thinks he can set the world alight elsewhere, earn more money, shake hands 'thanks very much, close the door on the way out' I'm done with less than fully committed players, ever since the Liverhampton years!
I've adopted a somewhat cynical view that fully committed doesn't exist. they all only here because nobody has offered them more money yet. I will cry happy tears the day I am proved wrong and JWP tells Klopp thanks but no thanks over a banana split down on the seafront.

& Gunn,and after his performance against Leeds, I think there’s ?’s about McCarthy. For me it is a weak spot in our squad. Fraser seems to me that he doesn’t believe or trust himself. I think if they are looking at GK’s,Romero @ Utd would be a better example.
Unless we are looking to sell Alex or Fraz, I did read somewhere we have started contract negotiations with Alex, so maybe we are looking to offload Fraz.
Gunn has already let it slip he’s being loaned out again next season. And with Alex getting a new contract, I would have thought we maybe looking to offload Fraz.
Whilst we have 3 keepers I wouldn’t call any of them particularly good. If one that we consider is an improvement becomes available for the right price I think we would go for it. The big caveat being that if we have limited funds to be spending a decent chunk of the budget on a keeper might not be wise (like when we signed Gunn a couple of seasons ago)
Also Leeds have Meslier who is only 20 or something and they seem to really rate so doubt they would be spending big on a keeper
