I don't know, you never get a religious type on here giving dogs abuse to other faiths and calling them stupid

Generally, and you can check all the threads to prove me wrong, but the ones giving out abuse.....even sectarian abuse.....claim to be atheists

So does claiming to be an atheist = license to be a **** to people

    That's a very misleading statement.

The vast majority of Nobel Prize winning scientists were men and women of faith.

A belief in God and excelling in Science are not mutually exclusive.

Christmas is a corruption of a Pagan festival and it's a cultural thing.

there is an estimated 300 sextillion stars in the universe. everyone of these stars has planets orbiting them. say just for arguements sake there is 10 planets per star. that's 3000 sextillion planets in the universe. If it took "god" 6 days to make earth how long did it take him to make the others?

    answer: 49,315,068,493,150,684,931,507 YEARS

You've obviously never seen Rebel and Hero then.

As for the second part, I've no idea how many people on here are believers in god.

    Ask yourself this:

How long was a "day" if the sun and the earth, which revolves around it, had still to be created?

depends on how many religions you believe there are

also depends on your interpretation of GOD.

I'm not religeous. I couldn't care less about the whole subject of religeon.

That, by default, makes me an atheist. A title I also couldn't care less about.

It doesn't mean, however, that I'm bigoted/have a superiority complex etc as I just want to get on with my life and not be bothered by anyone who wants to share their religeous views with me, be they for or against the concept.

    Therfore, to answer your questions:

    1. They are neither. Just because they choose not to believe in something doesn't mean they are disrespectful of others and it is a gross generalisation to suggest otherwise.
    2. Yes, by default. However, some have a far stronger passion for it than others. A large percentage of atheists couldn't give a flying **** what anyone else belives in and will let them get on with it.

    And you'd be wrong.
    As usual.

The simple fact is that people of faith don't like to have their views challenged, regardless of how dangerous some of them are.
That people like yourself believe that people you don't like should be put to death is reason enough to make a point of doing so.

There is no evidence of god (or gods for thefannywithnobrain).

The more science advances so the proof of god diminishes. Religious orders used to use unusual activities such as strange weather patterns, eclipses, raining fish etc. as proof of god's work. But all these things have been explained by science so the church urges people to use blind faith.

It's the greatest con ever played. Build a movement on something you don't need any proof for and watch the gullible and easily-led come flocking to your door. We can see the same patterns happen with many modern religions, many of which are little more than cash cows for con artists.

What part of that comment are you questioning, as it's entirely factual?

I think Christmas was basically a massive feast at the coldest darkest part of winter, it was having faith in eating whats left of your supplies and hoping you would survive until spring....... Any farmer knows sheep aren t born in Dec....The Jesus birthday story is bullshit...
We do over eat and max out credit cards hoping that we will be ok in spring now.

I cant be arsed going over old discussions (maybe STD can help) but it seems that you spend a lot of time on religious threads

I am a person of faith and I welcome you to challenge my views. NO PROBLEM.

    and whats with the allegations?
