So it looks like 18th place will be one of the following

    Burnley
    Nufc
    Brighton
    Fulham

Looking at the fixtures I'd say Brighton have the toughest run in, so if we can beat them we might be OK.

Thought id share some good news because its been a while...

How many points will it take?

Looking at the fixtures I think:
    Brighton 12 points
    Burnley 12 points
    Fulham 13 points

So I feel we need to get 13 points from our remaining games to survive. As you have said captain, 4 points from the next 2 is a must.

Absolutely because it would mean we go into a very tough run thinking anything we pick up here is a bonus..

For us villa, Brighton, Burnley are the only winnable games until the last two vs Sheff United and Fulham, so we really need 6 to 9 points from those 3 games..

I think 10 is enough. 4 from the next two is essential. We have 7 of the current top 10 still to play. Under Bruce, that's 7 defeats. Means we need 10 points from 4 games.

Four iffy teams involved, one in four chance of going down. It's all about results now and not performances

The losses to Sheff United and Palace were key to finding ourselves in this position.. Bruce doesn't seem to realise you've got to beat these teams to stay up... There's an ever decreasing number of winnable games due to the rise of Leicester and the takeovers of villa, everton and wolves... Its also been compounded by the hundreds of millions west ham have spent finally coming to fruition.... Will we ever have a go? I think Bruce is the type to throw the kitchen sink at Tottenham, man City, arsenal and Leicester and then after we've been turned over say " that's why we couldn't attack teams".. Whatever happens Bruce's primary aim is to walk away pointing the blame away from himself... He's been at it for his entire tenure.

He’s been at it his entire career mate.

I think if we can get 12 points it may be enough and I think it might be bye to Brighton.

Yeah there's always a chance we stumble over the line, but I don't see this squad having the fight to dig themselves out of the relegation zone in the same way Scotty Parker's Fulham have.

Hopefully city destroy Fulham and stop that momentum and Brighton look like they've got the worst fixtures to me... If we beat Brighton that's a big fwd step, but if course of we lose it it's going to look very very grim.

Look, as iv always said... It's about the accumulation of points but unfortunately we are nowhere near that magical figure. We will continue to roll wor sleeves up and give it a go.

If Brighton start getting their fair share of luck we are down. Much better than us.

Lamptey smashed us at SJP, he's a big miss.

Brighton have gotta be in our sights now, Fulham have got momentum, and bar a huge downturn in form, I can't see them dropping off. Burnley are too erratic to pin our hopes on, they're dire one week, but pull an unexpected win out the hat the next.

We just have to hope that we are within touching distance of all three come the last two games of the season.

We should have ASM, Miggy and Wilson back for them last two games.

I would say leave them out of the mix for the games leading upto Sheff Utd and Fulham. Provided we are within their reach or ahead.

    This avoids them getting injured.

Then we unleish them on the final two games. They should be fit.

We'll be in the bottom 3 then if we don't take 4 points from the next 2 and beat Burnley

Nailed on City win - it is going to be 11 v 12, Andre Mariner is the ref on Saturday you see. Cost a win at home to Liverpool through his incompetence.
