Despite my, erm - advancing years, I still have a good head of hair and it grows quite fast. I feel a bit like this now: please log in to view this image Though not quite as horny.
My hair is normally a bit on the longer side, apart from when I get in the mood for a skin fade which is maybe once or twice a year. So I'm fine with having longer hair and it doesn't look that different, just even longer. I was getting a tail on the back though so I had to deal with it, doesn't look so bad considering I was using a hand held mirror to look in the main mirror with scissors in the other. Before the lockdown at the end of last year, the day before it came in, I went and got a zero skin fade, didn't get a chance for the barbers before this one started.
The best method I've found for cutting your own hair is to take a blade out of a multi-blade razor like a mach 3 or something and use that with slightly damp hair, gives a better finish than scissors, a traditional safety razor blade works too, difficult round the back though
Embroiled in something of a minor saga over my car at the moment. I took it for its mot earlier this month which it passed and at the same time had them sort out the drivetrain which was not right and they said they'd fixed at the same time as doing the mot. I drive away from the place with it and it doesn't feel 100% but I just tell myself maybe it needs to settle in or something. Anyway less than a week later and exactly the same problem comes back, drivetrain message on the screen, engine shaking with me sat inside the car like I'm sat on a washing machine on the fast spin cycle, can't accelerate to above 30 and it's sluggish getting there. I book it in for today and have to drive it the rest of the week as it's the only way I can get to work. Got it to them earlier than we'd agreed today so they could work on it and I can have it back soon. They've got it in late to the workshop. The problem they've identified is maybe a misfire on one cylinder but they're not really sure, so they've changed a spark plug which looks like it's fine, but they've put a fresh one in anyway, but they're not sure why as spark plugs rarely fail. And they've called to tell me this 30 minutes before closing and that 'hopefully' that's sorted it, pretty much. Time to find a new garage. I swear the only reason anyone uses this place is because it's an authorised dealer. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well. All show and no go.
Not really. Got it back now and all seems to be functioning as it should. No charge for the work or part either, I should think so since I essentially gave them nearly 200 quid for free last time. They haven't washed and cleaned it though, which they normally do. They said on the phone it's because of the rona yet two weeks ago when it went in they did wash and clean it I suspect they just couldn't be bothered since they had it recently and they've not managed to extract any further money out of me. Then, surely the 'safest' thing they can be doing is thoroughly washing and cleaning all the cars they get in
Mine never clean or wash mine but tbf i don't blame them as it is filthy due to it in reality just being a portable dog kennel with the added problem of a regularly filthy wheelchair being lobbed on the passenger seat or more rarely the rear seats and in the process doors , dashboards , roof linings etc acquire an interesting patina .
