This has probably been done before and it's not at all about levels of fandom but just realised I missed a massive anniversary ... 13 February 1971, 50 years ago my first City game.

My dad (no City fan) took me with his mate to BP to watch the 5th round FA cup tie with Brentford. Was in North Stand, I think. Only time ever in that stand .. Bunkers or the Well after that.

I'm old . What was your first game?

Not really sure here. Do remember City losing to Man City 1-0 in the FA Cup at booth ferry park think 1970. But I’m told I went before.

Sometime in August '55. Grandad took me - North Stand just to the left of the goal - could hardly see over the boards/fence round the pitch. Lincoln City if I recall, decent crowd & we won 2-1 or 3-2. We ended up bottom at the end of the season and were relegated tp Div 3 North. However, I was hooked.

    No idea.

I've got programmes from about '69 but I've no memory of attending those games.

I had a season ticket from about '72 to '79 and I don't think I missed a home game. That was with my Dad and brothers.

A twelve year old me's first game was the 2-0 cup win against Forest in '66 - went with my mother who came from a family of lifelong Forest fans; it was a couple of years after that before I started going regularly with mates.

My grandad used to take me in about '63, south end of the west stand, in seats! After a couple of years I was considered old enough to go with mates in south stand so I experienced those 35k gates we used to get. There were a couple of girls in our gang and one of them wasn't averse to having her chest accidentally squeezed when the crowd surged forward. It was always a scrum to get positioned behind her at ko. Happy days!

The first game that I actually remember was the 1-0 fa Cup win v West Ham in '74, but think I'd been a season or so before that.

Started in best stand seats, then moved to The Well, old man on the back row, me on the barrier at the front.

Boxing Day 1970. 4-4 draw against Sheff Massive. 4-1 down with 5 minutes to go. Nearly got filled in as the massive arseholes kicked off at the end. Big hard South Yorkshire **** tried to steal my scarf nearly choking me...I was 8 years old stood on Bunkers with my 12 year old brother. Never looked back.
