Although I wouldnt support a strike, i certainly wouldnt blame them nor criticise them in any way. Infact during a pandemic would give them a greater bargaining tool as it proves and has proven that these are the people who hold the fabric of our society together. It is nothing short of disgraceful to be honest, whilst the private test & trace system gets more billions of pounds worth of money, Johnson gets his flat house done up, friends and donors of the Tory party gain lucrative multi million pound contracts for literally nothing. It ****ing stinks. Everybody should be backing the NHS for a decent rise. When will people open their ****ing eyes to the greed and corruption we live under. And yes this is Tory hatred. Tory hatred because they are the party in power making these decisions. It's hard to hate the greens or any other party for choices these corrupt ****ers make.

considering track and trace has pretty much been built at a cost of 22 billion, i'm a little shocked that it's costing 15 billion to service it lol considering its probably not even being used at the moment with everywhere shut.
No wonder the nurses are thinking about striking, they want in on this action

Only an idiot would insist that Track and Trace has been a success and good value for money.....actually, didn’t a certain poster on here recently say it was “fab” ?

I think that was the assumption. However I leave it up to my union to fight for what they feel is right.
I’ve a sneaking feeling we will eventually get nearer to this after Boris rides in on his white horse and saves us all.

Sadly all this has got me thinking about my plans for the future. I had intended to try and stay on 10 years, which would take me to 58 years old, then go on to a bit quieter a life in NETS, taking the elders to hospital and back home.....got a BA pension which I’ll probably start drawing at 55, another 3 years time so money would be easier

Im not gonna quit tmrw but now wondering if I need the stress and the heartache for that long....especially if I’m feeling undervalued and could earn almost the same delivering veg for Tesco

Although they don't go into the jobs for the money
All public service jobs should get the same annual percentage pay rise as mps

The MPs thing is annoying and gets headlines but not really the main issue I feel and just creates general dislike for all politicians whether they merit their pay or not. Much more damaging if an MP has a cushty six figure consultancy gig on the side that buys a business influence or a juicy contract than all MPs getting a pay rise on what should be a full-time vocation that doesn’t actually pay that well for the sort of expertise and commitment it should command.

Agree it’s like the new Downing st media suite (we are becoming very American) and general make over. Some people are comparing it to other things and trying to make some sort of story? The T&T seems to have been a massive waste of money and some heads need to roll over that. But most of these weird allegations against the government are today’s story and tomorrow’s fish and chip wrappings.

They’re allowed to become tomorrow’s fish and chips wrappings. Relatively small abuses of power like spending six figures to make Johnson’s latest squeeze’s front room look like a 90s Indian restaurant just seem less important when there are multi-billion whoppers us serfs will be paying for for generations barely being scrutinised.

And that last sentence is exactly why this these examples of corruption and unfairness exist. Some people just dont care. The same people who would no doubt be up in arms over reading about a benefits cheat or someone avoiding a parking ticket!

Exactly Bob......the blatant corruption exists because we let it exist and people like our resident racist even go so far to excuse it. Bizarre that people like him will go out of their way to blame anyone else...immigrants, dole cheats, the left......but excuse their own sorry shower of **** for blatantly ripping off the country and looking after their rich mates.
    Disgusting

Exactly and I dont just put all this on the Tories either. It's the majority of parties and politicians. Change will only come from within but when you have people making excuses for these kinds of actions or even rubbishing them , then nothing will ever change. People wonder why society is like it is and complain about the little fish when the example of corruption, greed, lies, deceitfulness, lack of accountability etc is an example set right at the top.
