I have to politely disagree with you there Turkish. I wouldnt waste my time persevering with a 35 year old. I can count on one hand how many games I've not shouted at him whilst watching his displays. He turns like a bus, his passing is less than average, he cant and wont improve. We moved the ball so much better without him. That may have just been a coincidence or the fact that Bristols pressure wasnt very effective but in my opinion Cameron is at his scariest when he has more time on the ball. Wont be sad to see him go and I have a feeling that some of his teammates looked happier without him in the team.
From what I have seen de Wisj is a no nonsense CD, perfect to go inside two ball playing CD Barbet and Dickie. Mind you with Hull probably being promoted, we may not get him, we only have an option to buy
Anyone see the little "spat" on instragram...its all in good fun. Chair put a picture up of his goal...some one (I think Thomas) said "what a header from a 5'2" lad". Chair retaliated with I'm not 5'2"...I am 5'7" (having met him, he really isn't) And someone else saying take it up with the club, as they have you down as 5'2". So I think he is in early tomorrow to be remeasured
De Wijs lasted an hour, understandably so given his time off, but it was a good debut. Early days but looks that sort of presence at the back you need in this league, did the basics of defending very well. Johansen was the best player on the pitch but Field complimented him well in the middle of the park, has that poise that Ball perhaps lacks. Willock looked bright in bursts, seems to look better when in closer proximity to Chair.
I agree with you.Think Cameron has done a great job for us. Not sure how long he can go on playing, but I hope we find a replacement for him with more pace than de Wyjs looks to have. We are lacking pace in the back 3. Kakay would give that, but maybe needs more experience playing there.
In my opinion we've played Cameron for a season too long, although we didn't have much choice. Have to agree with Bob. He looks pretty poor most of the time.
https://www.infogol.net/en/player/geoff-cameron/6214 I don't know this website and I know stats can be arbitrary but according to these figures he's doing OK though I suppose a completed pass may not be much use unless it leads somewhere! His figures are not much worse than Bee's Rico Henry. Not saying he's amazing but I just feel he's a bit better than is sometimes stated.
I thought we had much much better stats with Cameron in the team this season so far. That said the squad is better now so the future may be different
It's all opinions mate. I thought Kane was one of the worst players in the world, but he seems determined to prove me wrong.
A pleasant read this weekend! https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...show-has-qpr-right-back-in-the-groove--report
