Thats the kernnntttt. I couldn't remember his name. He's always snuffed our 4foot forwards out, with no difficulty. I want to see OBrien & Wyke get the better of the ****er, Wyke getting stuck in by bagging a brace. OBrien getting rightbin his face with a bit more bullying/aggro/gamesmanship.
After our best run of results of the season, and on the brink of the top 2, you’d think supporters would be happy and full of optimism. I’ve read countless comments on this thread criticising different players. It’s absolutely embarrassing. I hope the players don’t read these forums.
Well they might be netter than them, but they don't play better football. Rochdale had a go today, and you can see why they score a lot more goals than a bottom of the league team normally do. Pompey are all kick, bully and rush. The type of team we often struggle against actually. A Kenny Jacket team. Bloody horrible set of feckers, going way back. I was there a couple of years ago at home when they threw a flare into the crowd, and made plenty of noise about it. I told my lad that if there were ever going to be a set of twats to do a thing like that , they were among a very small group who would do it. Let's hope they have another bad home performance and result.
Said similar kidweek. These are 2 of my favourite games this season as we did what we had to and risked little. And, under Parkinson (and probably Ross) we’d have had 1 or 2 points!
Correct. We are a League One team. Almost all of the players are from that league or lower and many of them are improving. We have no right to just blow teams away and we won't be doing it. But we are doing okay. Maybe we are on one of those Lee Johnson rolls. If we are, we are in with a very good chance, something I didn't think possible not long ago.
Good post, the squad are performing brilliantly, they are all pulling together and are winning games. What more do people want, there’s a real togetherness which is really important in a promotion winning team.
I thought winchester did well today - tidy and looked to move the ball forward quickly, which is what everyone has wanted for ages as Leadbitter seems to slow down the play. Macfadzean still a bloody liability mind - need someone in that left back slot quickly as that seems to be where our main threats are coming from.
Portsmouth have been wobbling for weeks, no idea why but it's been a dramatic drop off from where they were around Christmas. If they didn't have a decent start to the season you'd be talking about a relegation battle for them. I think it makes Tuesday really important, poor result for them and they could drop out of the play off places and be in a real scrap to see if they qualify.
I was literally scrolling through this thread to see if it had been posted as I'm sure I noticed him when the camera scanned into the seats for a few seconds to show Kyril.
Just seen this on Facebook. Sunderlands form since LJ took over....top of the league and yet there still seems to be people doubting him
We're the only top 10 team not to lose in the last 5 games, we've lost less games than any team, we've conceded less than any other team. Not really sure what more Johnson can do tbh.
https://www.skysports.com/football/sunderland-vs-rochdale/report/431215 Sunderland kept the heat on the top two in League One with a 2-0 win over struggling Rochdale at the Stadium of Light. First-half goals from Dion Sanderson and Charlie Wyke set the Black Cats on their way to a fifth win from six matches to stay five points off the automatic promotion spots.
comfortable win today and with top 2 playing each other on Tuesday we got to win to keep pressure on them
