The card for Ascot looks unbelievable. I feel a bit of a hypocrite really because i was totally against the whole principle of having a Champions day like this but, now it's only a few days away, some of the races could be fantatsic.

    3.10 Leicester

    Afaal 33/1

Forgot this was running until I saw it there. Afaal is another of the Hard Spun progeny that I have been following who made its debut at Newmarket in August and there was definitely some promise to this one. Furthermore, it seemed to be a very hot Maiden Stakes with the Winner Most Improved finishing a close up 3rd in the Dewhurst and the 2nd winning by 10L on his next start. 6 of the 9 who have run again since have won or placed. Jockey Tadhg O'Shea takes the ride which represents his only ride of the day and wit a bit of money around I'm definitely having a play on this 1.

    2 bets for me today:

    win trixie:

200Newc: Thought Worthy courtesy of Cats
420Hunt: Safe Investment courtesy of Stick
440Leic: Mysterious Man ran a typical debut race for an Andrew Balding type and could improve enough to beat Thomas Chippendale.

    Win Double:

200Newc: Handsome Man represents the 2009 winner and looks bred for this.
    440Leic: Mysterious Man

Be lucky all who play
