Washington is a part of the Borough of Sunderland and has many many black & white supporters - unfortunately.

I've noticed him doing it a few times but it's in a constructive way and quite logical. There's a difference between honest criticism and throwing a player under the bus as Bruce did. If a team is properly prepared and organised it should be obvious what happens if a certain sub comes on. If you were pedantic, you would realise that there is no such place as the borough of Sunderland as it was changed to the City of Sunderland in 1992

 

Maybe that’s why I don’t “see” it as it’s constructive and positive so it doesn’t come across as obvious criticism!
