I always remember that match at the withdean a few years back when Stu elliot scored in the first few minutes. the 500 or so City fans were so far away from the action at the far end that the only reason anyone realised we had scored was the sight of stu doing his cartwheels. from the same night, i also remember john prescott doing a hearts and minds type exercise at half time as he announced their new ground or something. he then proceeded to come over to the City fans for applause as a Hull statesman, only to roundly booed by all to a man....hahahahaha "......you ve got yer cameras in a tree...." anyone there that night for that one?
What voucher? - I understood they only gave them with tickets in the home end (perhaps why the home tickets cost £30 - so I'm told). I didn't get a voucher with my ticket.
It's somewhat surprising how popular an evening match in Brighton is. I guess it will be a 'big boy's night out by the seaside' eh? Mind you don't let strangers buy your drinks.
maybe its only the away direct tickets that got them but a voucher arrived in the envelope. i think the park and ride is only £1.20 anyway.
i hear that our ticket office originally started to give them away with the tickets when they first got them....hahahahahaha. that ll cost a few quid!!
see post above. just been told that the ticket office were giving em away free till they asked for the second batch of tickets from brighton, only to find out they are £1.50 per person....hahahahaha. love it!!
I rang Brighton and asked about them - they are £1.50 each, they used to be free last season but the rail company started charging them too much. They cover the trains buses and park and ride for Brighton and a sizeable surrounding area. I was told the park and ride is £2.70pp.
You have an entire stand at Elland Road which remains empty every match, you have no right to talk about other teams' support.
v Palace 20,968 v Leeds 20,646 v Peterborough 19,656 v Blackpool 19,494 v Doncaster 20,219 They're nearly all the same attendances, the difference between our relevant attendances will be no more than a couple of hundred either way and why didn't you fill it anyway, I thought you were massive and the capacity is 21,897?
I recorded a band back in 2006 - they went on to do absolutely nothing (I think one went on to be a masseuse last I heard) but its still the best footy song I ever heard 'Brighton Away': www.myspace.com/thebelgravescandal I tried plugging it on here before, need the royalties! ;-)
My ticket dropped through the door this morning. Brighton report a sellout. The park and ride wait time is up to 50mins so don't leave it late. Falmer is as far outside of Brighton as Melton Squash Courts. Great to see a good City turnout.
Down almost 4,000 a game on last season and they're worried about it........ http://www.thescratchingshed.com/2011/10/the-feeling-of-the-five-thousand/?
We don't have any stand that's empty every match. The West and East Stands are usually about half full. Thought this thread was about away support anyway, not home? We're down by 4,000 this season because people are sick of the lies, rip-offs and disappointment from Ken Bates and are boycotting. I'd do the same if I hadn't already paid up front for my season ticket.
Ha a White s hite supporter complaining about lies and rip offs? What did Don Revvie ever do but lie about bungs and cheating! You must be a younger generation of toss pot !
Prove it. In fact, don't. I've already conclusively shown that the 'bungs' allegation is a lie on this forum and it would only take this thread further off topic.
