Not really. Though W**t H*m wont be able to buy the olympic park, they will most probably rent it from the OPLC, which means that the taxpayer will have to fund the maintenance and the like. The same sort of thing that happens when we rent a place. If there are any problems with the boiler or something in a rented accomodation, let the landlords know and they get it sorted, without any cost to the people renting. Fish-lips Brady has come out and saidthey will still go ahead and push for the purchase of the site, which I strongly suspect is why her, Sullivan and Gold all jumped on board at W**t H*m in the first place.
True but am thinking that the new lower risk proposal might cost them less although who knows if the extra £35m of public money is Newham's money or our general taxpayers money!
Guys, 1. It will still be WHU who plays there 2. It stops those ****s Levy and Hearn going through court cases 3. It will cost WHU much less with the taxpayer picking up the rest for its upkeep 4. We don't need the £40 mil loan from Newham 5. We won't have to sell The Boleyn I'm laughing my ****ing arse off, esp at the thick yids. Just take a look at their forum and how they are laughing about us until one of their own actually spells it out
you never know! Seeing as you wont have the same atmosphere there with the running track it'll be like a new version of Stadio Olimpico!
Eyetie, by renting it means you keep the running track, the corporate box's and seats won't be in place, neither will the retractable roof, it will be a soulless mundane atmosphere which in time will drive more fans away rather than increase the numbers.
Or the Withdean, steve!! well whatever happens, should be in W**t H*m's interest anyway. It has been obvious since this whole thing started that the OPLC, Newham Council, Boris Johnson and whoever else is involved, have wanted the vermin to get the site. So, seeing that it would be a long, drawn out affair, they have looked at other avenues that get W**t H*m into the stadium and this is one of them. The only bad thing for W**t H*m here is if they do stay down in this league until they move over to the Olympic park is that the parachute money will have dried up, so they will be in serious debt. This will mean that they either abandon the move to the Olympic park so no rent has to be paid, or they sell the Bengal ground to help pay for the rent at the Olympic park.
Ringo One day the government will sell it once they realise it's gonna be an ongoing cost to the taxpayer, so we just have to play the long game. Cheese, we get bigger crowds than the weeds these days It's Saturday on Cold Blow Lane, We never stay down here long term, never will
Exactly and he ain't going anywhere as he would have to sack himself to leave so your stuck with him!
You said it and he's 80 this December so I imagine you weeds will have a landmark birthday surprise lined up for him!
Couldn't Millwall and West Ham ground share. It'd be nice to see the New Den have a decent crowd for a change?
