The club asked the court to remove the chairman of the arbitration due to conflicts. The chairman advised the PL in 2017 though not NUFC related. The arbitration will continue with this chairman
So for all those people who continue to spout ****. Confirmation the arbitration is for the takeover and not money
All I’m reading here is more and more corruption within the Premier League. How can all that even be legal?
I don’t deal with arbitration’s but I would have thought that the key question is whether NUFC would have agreed to the Chairman being appointed if NUFC had been made aware of these facts prior to consenting to his appointment. The answer is obviously no. Then again when did common sense and the law ever shake hands.
If the takeover doesnt come off then I'd expect that the Premier League may become increasingly difficult towards a Mike Ashley owned Newcastle. It would be interesting to see the reaction within the footballing world if the takeover does happen. Saudi's dodgy doings and stealth ownerships have been going on under the radar previously, everybody has turned a blind eye to them. This takeover would put them, and Newcastle, to the forefront of the controversy. Nobodies bothered that the UK are selling arms to Saudi Arabia, but heaven forbid if they take over one of our football clubs! Is it something that your fans are willing to risk? Rightly or wrongly, to become a pariah club? For your club to so be closely tied to the temperamental cut throat political world?
It reads like the takeover is still in progress with no PL decision... yet. And that NDM and Fatima have to simply prove separation and satisfy the arbitration panel that this is the case. Then.. takeover passed. Correct?
