With your track record of absolute inaccuracy and stupidity, I'm reassured that you try to claim that. <ok>

What % of renewables provide power for Texas? Why did the good old fashioned power generation sources not cover for it?

Many of the traditional supplies had been decommissioned. Without googling, I'd guess at around 30% of Texas power is from renewables.

How about you state your case, instead of hiding behind silly questions in the hope you can find something to divert the conversation like you normally do, you clueless bore?

When it comes to xenophobic bigotry, by GC standards Asbo isn’t even in League One. He’s just a kilted weirdo with a bit of a Braveheart fetish.

You do seem to have a lot of them right now, but I’d still swap you one Asbo for half a dozen EDL Tommy Fanboy Brexit ****s from Hull.

Their grid is fully privatised, has been underfunded for years and their traditional power plants also failed.

Wind turbines work in the winter, Texas hadn't set these up as the weather conditions they experienced were a freak event. I wonder why the climate is producing such freak events so often nowadays...

I agree. Outside I prefer to be able to hear sounds around me and inside I prefer sound to immerse me rather than come from within my ears.

It must be global warming that causes the cold freak events.

You're even ****e at googling. The world at your finger tips, and you've still no ****ing idea. Looks like my figure for renewables wasn't that far off then eh. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

There have not been more frequent freak events than previously, and the wind turbines froze, which was compounded by the lack of back up due to mothballing the traditional supplies.

It's also worth noting that the advent of portable condensed fossil fuel energy meant that deaths and damage from natural disasters reduced by 95%.

I have to have earphones to blot out the drivel spouted by other train passengers on my daily commute. I may have to resort to an old fashioned nosegay to hold off the stench of onions and garlic from the Korean passengers. Don't even care if this is lacist, they honk.
