Very comfortable win I'm hoping then on to Portsmouth where we can pick up at least a point possibly all 3

I agree with all of that.

I'm glad people have stopped calling for Burge to be dropped and I'd be just as happy if O'Brien starts. Wyke, apart from the goal, looked lost without him and kept finding himself on the right wing for some reason. Jones needs to keep things simple, beat his man and get a cross/shot away.

I keep saying it hoping one week I'm right. I am going for the magnificent 7. 7-0 to the cuddlies.

Give Mcgeady a rest and get Diamond & Jones running at them. At least 1 penna guaranteed. Would accept another ugly 1-0 win obviously but will be mightily disappointed if it is not more

On Tuesday, I think he was guilty of trying too hard to impress. A bit like O'Nien when he first came here. No doubting his talent, but you are right, he just needs to keep it simple. I don't think he was helped by Wyke moving out wide much more than normal. Chas needs to stay between the width of the 18 yard box, so he's a target for those crosses.

On Saturday v Rochdale the likes of mcgeady wyke? Surely we should have more than enough without them to beat a very poor Rochdale

Fine line between keeping the momentum and changing too many players, but saying that whatever 11 he puts out should win on Sat imo. He will make his usual 2 or 3 changes I reckon.

I think we could rest Geads, we’ve wide cover with Maguire, Gooch and Jones.

Geads has been key to the upturn and he’s knocking on, little breather be magic for him as he will absolutely want to play at Wembley.

Maguire, diamond and Jones with O'Brien up top should have enough. Of course, it could quite easily bite us in the arse. I trust him to make the right call tho.

This is a really poor side we are playing.

There is always the momentum thing, can’t be discounted, but we should have plenty in the tank to win this and Pompey is a massive game.

Some people are advocating McGeady on the bench , in all honesty I can’t recall him coming off the bench and making much of an influence . He is not an impact sub , as far as I am concerned he either starts and is then subbed not the reverse he needs to pick up the tempo of the game coming on as a sub does not work .

I wouldn't rest McGeady I'd drop him I think he has been very average in the last few games I'd actually start Jones and diamond

McGeady definitely needs a rest and Jones is a perfect replacement for his position.

We might spank them 4 nowt without needing to bring him on tho mate. Then he is fresh for Pompey. Of course, we might not! <laugh> thats up to the gaffer.

Digressing slightly but I think Peterboro have a difficult game on Saturday. Burton dead n buried a few weeks ago are on a canny run.

Really? Was his magic that won us the Fleetwood game, last 2, yeah suppose, but we’ve been poor overall those games just ground out 4 points.

I wouldn’t be against a full rest for him, he does have the magic but he’s 35, he can’t play twice a week at a level.

Jones needs more minutes. He’s not set world alight but we’ve seen flashes of a really very good player. He needs minutes.

Resting players and failing to win would make him look ridiculous ...

... we desperately need these three points.
