he won’t be a legend. He’ll be remembered as a good player but won’t go down as having same impact as players like henderson vvd Salah etc.

that’s not to say he wasn’t a very good player in our system. Often unnoticed but at the same time often drifts through a game making little impact on the ball.

funny player be happy to keep him around and rather have him than lose on a free, especially if we don’t have an awful lot of money to spend next season.

Agree with this although being part of the team that ended the thirty year wait might elevate him above the mighty Igor...

It's a shame that he'll be leaving on a free. A very reliable and experienced player who now needs replacing with no funds coming in first...Jones's chance maybe?

He'll be saying he's better than Borini next.

I have been very critical over Gini for a while because I share the same issues that you mentioned. However, he was instrumental in us getting back into the CL which then built the platform to go onto win PL and CL. I would say pretty much everyone in the squad who won the PL could be a legend.

dont get my wrong, he’s certainly Proven to be w great signing, a very diff player to the one I thought we were getting and I’d definitely like to keep him. And that midfield is always undervalued when you have alisson vvd TAA Robbo shining at the back with clean sheets and assists, and the front 3 scoring all the goals. I think we all appreciate that the midfield was instrumental without getting the headlines. He’ll go down as a very good player but he won’t be hailed in the same way that Salah vvd henderson Fabinho did in 10-15 years time.

We'll be awesome next season after selling Mane, Bobby & Salah and buying Sancho, Mbappe & Haaland ;)

With players not giving their all and some fans calling for his head, I wouldn't blame him tbh

True but he's not blameless surely? He rightly gets credit for the team he created and the trophies won but at the moment they look lost.

    Whats his reasoning?

imo that result, had it gone either way or a had it been a draw, means nothing to us at all.

I’m sure if you asked him he’d say you’re wrong.

As a manager you take all the plaudits when it’s going well, and you take the stick when it goes pear.

He’s honest enough to know that, and 12 points from 13 league games is ****ing woeful full stop, let alone for the defending champions, irrespective of injury issues.

Talk of his job being under threat is ridiculous, but he’s still under massive pressure to sort it out. The lack of CL football next season would be a disaster for Liverpool, financially as much as anything else, and after today he’s right up against it to deliver that, he probably needs to win the ****er to achieve it now tbh.

Money talks. The quality of squad depth just wasn’t there. We simply don’t know if it was Klopp’s stubbornness/arrogance or whether he’s been hamstrung on a tight budget (possibly for good reason). His last season at Dortmund was similar to this year.

Personally, I think that we’ve just hit a wall. Gas tanks are empty, so to speak.....we haven’t been able to rotate anyone and look totally shot to pieces. The replacements to the first team are just not good enough....and this is the key point. While City can rotate 4 or 5 £50m+ full backs, we’ve run ours into the ground. Entering the season without replacing Lovren was a big mistake and our January purchases, with hindsight, look a bit desperate.

Losing Jota when we did was just plain bad luck....with him, the front 3 could have had more rest, without him, they’ve played continuously. Not good.

our squad needs a massive injection of money to improve the quality of our cover. The very best managers are constantly reshaping their squads. Fergie was a master at it :emoticon-0132-envy:. We have sadly been left wanting after winning major trophies....like I said, money talks.

It's not hindsight. Many of us said we could have bought similar quality loan buys when the window opened. I could understand a last-minute deal for a quality, £30-40m player, but waiting until the last hours for two CB's who are absolutely no improvement of Williams and Phillips is bizarre.

Don't get me wrong I get the City squad, rotation and barely any drop in quality argument. And I'd agree its why City are going to win the league (I'd also expand that to across Europe and say its why PSG and Bayern, along with City will compete for the CL, cause of their squad quality).

However there are 18 other teams in the league, some of whom are also playing European football, who are coping with the turn around in games much better than we are.
