you still have no idea what davies is like. he might be learning a huge amount in training and could come in and be a star for all you've a clue.....

....Or klopp thinks he's a joke. :) who knows.

I woudn't fall for any of those bid rumours though. The Carr one looks absolutely pure agent talk.

I agree however on buying on jan 1. we tried to not buy at all and then once matip got crocked again (luckily) we were forced to scratch round to find something.

So proactive is exactly what we were not and imo it's already cost us CL football next year.

Fabinho and kabak to be the pairing for the final game sof the season and we might put all eggs in the CL basket if the QF draw is kind.

We actually know Davies is sh!t, but he is needed as backup and for training. Otherwise it's just more kids being brought in for training and it's not helping anyone.

Davies could be good but it's been a month and he's not featured once. Has he even been on the bench? We literally have a central defence which is Championship standard so forgive me for not thinking that Davies will come in and become a star :)

Carr was real - everyone confirmed it, including our own journalists. Issue is that we waited until the last day to put in a bid.

I agree with you that I see Fabinho being put back into defence alongside either Kabak / Phillips, just as long as we continue to see the midfield and Robbo support the attack. The change in shape and system suited most of our players (bar Salah I think) and hopefully we can just outscore opponents.

yes he was on the bench. Why is he not starting. Klopp will tell us eventually or we will get a glimpse in preaseason.

Carr was all agent talk, you can't trust that stuff. If there was real money on the table marseille would bite yer arm off. Sorry, I just could smell agent the way that story broke. As best we might have enquired but I am sure the minute it leaked we walked as it would be about raising the price.

I agree, we did a bit of a system change that was "alright" but it was against the worst team inthe league and it relegated our best goal scorer to being glued to the right wing and left us wathcing a game we should have scored 6 in eventually get lucky with 2 goals. On another day the lino flags that first out

Despite salah being glued to that wing he shoudl still have got a goal had trent not being a selfish twat. tap in. get him in the middle is my view.

Firmino did "alright" deeper and that but imo get someone to stand wide and let salah do the job in the middle. His leadership in the press (as in showing the real desire from minute 1) was excellent.

This is why I think Jota could play a big part because both he can and Mane can play on the wings and then we can move Salah central. Or vice versa.

as long as someone who will actually shoot on target is there I'm happy :), oh and not hit the keeper one on one.

aynone who shoots on target get my vote. I don't care who it is.

no more bad decisions on pass or shoot (salah/trent greed & fimrino bottle job) and no more shovel foots missing the target by miles. (firmino)

if we finihsed half the chances we made v sheff utd we could have shut down for the seciond half and hit on break. hell after 25 mins the game should have been over.

IMo the big issues we have are entirely related.

    1. We can't get a lead. WTF we are at i don't know as if we ge tthe lead we can play then on counter and that suits salah.
    2. We can't stop conceding. If we can't get the lead then the next best thing is a clean sheet the other end but we are just as likely trhow one in.

IMO we have to run about chasing games and it doesn't really suit us.

IMo v cheslea we have an ideal opportunity to sit a bit deeper and play counter punch football. we might benefit from it as cheslea have gone for a system that might just play into our hands there.

the issue is we all know if a decent set of forwards get about kabak and phillips we are toast. Fabinho comes in but we need an adequete screen in fornt of them and hope kabak doesn't get done ball watching.

    I think they should!

its revolutionary given what I've seen recently.

The thought to effectively tie one hand behind your back by relying on deflected shots and balls that are out over the end line is nice of him to level the playing field but just maybe its time for the gloves to come off.

the real point is if you are chasing every game you are never controlling and so the players are knackered. Its a lot easier knock it about then wait for a gap and ping one to salah than it is to chase about for 90mins every game.

but at same time our style doesn’t really fit with sitting back and being patient. That’s city’s style, we’re far better when pressing high winning ball back upfield

Totally agree. If we sit back in an attempt to defend, we're accepting defeat before kicking a ball. Rather we revert to not defending and trying to outscore the opposition, bring back the 4-3 results :1980_boogie_down:

We won the title doing it. We slowed off after getting lead most games.

Who told you that.... Was it those Pesky Liverpool Fans?

You should be listening to those rival fans, apparently injuries mean nothing, or so I'm told.
