He did a video a few days ago where he suggested it was more to do with Covid travel quarantine restrictions. His face looked OK, maybe a bit swollen but that might have been my imgination.
Only just twigged that the first race is this month (hopefully). Getting closer now, will be intriguing to see what this floor removal has done to the cars handling, it feels like the cars should be looser at the back now but I'm sure the top teams will still be absolutely planted.
Well I was aware that one was open to interpretation, but it could be taken as a dig at Merc’s priorities. That’s my defence and I’m sticking to it!
I remember the rather messy step they had just in front of the front wheel suspension at the lauch last year. Looks like they may have put some effort into the launch car this year.
Well, at least Aston Martin can put all that "Pink Merc" criticism to bed at last. Now it's a green Merc. With pink bits.
It looks like quite a bluey green doesn't it? Hard to tell in this pictures though as it's quite badly lit.
If you think about it Racing Point / Aston Martin really played a blinder copying the 2019 Merc. They would have never guessed that they would be able to use it for 2 years with very similar rules. They must have saved millions - maybe just to spend on the 2022 design? They look like they have a decent number of sponsors too. Think they should have had the Aston logo big on the engine cover rather than smaller one by the wing mirror. Seems like the barge boards are getting stupid complex, so many elements to them - glad they are getting reduced for 2022.
true, could be like the orange Ferrari and when we see it in the flesh it looks green, hoping for it to be this kind of shade please log in to view this image
That looks hawt! Though I wonder if Vettel was peeved at being listed second to Strolololol in the launch video. I would be.
Hope it looks better in brighter lighting- an absolute damp squib to me, expected more I know it’s the performance that matters but I that’s a weird shade of “British racing green” to me. What we think- is this another Merc copy or are there some interesting and innovative ideas of their own?
Just read an article on Autosport where they were saying that in accordance with the tie up between the road car and F1 bits of Aston Martin, their road cars will be available in the same paint as the F1 car. So maybe they thought British racing green wouldn’t look good on the road. Apparently it took 11 months to choose the colour.
