Tough league fixtures and the wembley final, all able bodied players need to step up and be counted. no shirking under a sick note.
Someone mentioned on another thread that LJ was sometimes a bit sharp in returning players too soon and it's certainly a double edged sword. He must be desperate to bolster his defence and without taking anything away from the back 3/4 we've only really played Crewe recently who had a real go at us, Fleetwood no shots on target etc. We were all over the shop first half against Crewe but if the six or so mentioned as being close to a return then I'd be tempted to leave well alone against Rochdale, the Portsmouth game is a must not loose game, which we can win then he can play whoever hasn't run out of steam against Tranmere. Do I want to win the Papa John's course I do but going up is the obviously preferred outcome this season. LJ needs to earn his wages this next 12 says or so.
If we come out of the 4 games undefeated, he most certainly will have. Not too daunting a task with a full squad to choose from, but we currently have 8 out who would normally make the selected 18. It's a tough ask.
It’s exciting though isn’t it? Most of the time we’ve spent in this division has been at best bland and boring, now all of a sudden it feels like there’s a hell of a lot riding on the next month or so.
Yep, starting to look forward to the next game as soon as one ends, even after Shrewsbury and Crewe. Hhaaawwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy the lads
I realised on Tuesday that I've started clockwatching through the day to see how many hours to kick off ... ... it's been years since I did that. We're currently proving the theory that winning is exciting, even if it's sometimes ugly.
We are on a roll in the league, now. We need to protect our squad as much as possible. Play the reserves and kids against Tranmere, the result isn't important, keeping our first team players for promotion is very important.
It's a tricky situation mate. Players who've got us to Wembley, and may never play there again, might not to best pleased if they're dropped for the Final ... ... we don't want an Andy Ritchie situation at our club
Sorry but I don’t want us to lose at Wembley again , also important that we have a settled team as far as possible particularly a winning one . I would hate to see Remi Matthews between the sticks for the final he takes me back to the bad old days of Camp and Steele when we have normally had decent keepers . The EFL Trophy is not the most prestigious competition to win but to lose I feel would have a negative effect on the club when things are looking a lot brighter ,bringing some silverware back for the fans would provide another boost for the area and build confidence in our quest for Promotion - play to WIN !!!

Agree with what’s been said, back to buzzing for match day again I feared that was gone forever, it’s felt almost a duty more than a passion for a while. Im confident we win Saturday, the way the fixtures are midweek could be a really massive few days. 4 points or in a spectacular world 6 and we’d be right up Hull’s arse, still with games in hand. That would be symbolic.
Hull's away games are all tough one's. Pompey and Lincoln in the Top Six, Plymouth who have a good home record, and we know how tough it is to go to Shrewsbury and Crewe.
