I think that we may be getting a bit overconfidant about this game. The players need to approach this like any other Liverpool v Man Utd game and show proper respect while also being determined and confidant enough to play their football and get the 3 points. It will not be an easy game. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/luis-can-expose-man-utd-flaws John Aldridge believes Luis Suarez can expose the defensive vulnerabilities of one of our fiercest rivals on Saturday. The Reds take on Manchester United knowing victory would leave them just three points behind the league leaders. Last time the sides met at Anfield Dirk Kuyt fired a hat-trick - but Suarez was the catalyst for what was a memorable 3-1 win. And Aldo has seen enough of the champions this season to believe the Uruguayan can give them a sense of deja vu. "Make no mistake, Alex Ferguson will be very, very wary of Suarez this weekend," said the former Reds striker, who scored one goal in four games for Liverpool against the Mancunians. "He knows his side have a lot of defensive flaws that can be exposed. They have been great going forward, fantastic to watch, but they are vulnerable. "Even the likes of Basle and Norwich have shown that recently. "If Suarez brings his top form, Liverpool will be in a great position. He ran United absolutely ragged when the sides last met back in March. "He made all three goals, and gave the United defenders nightmares all afternoon. Dirk Kuyt got a hat-trick, but Suarez was the star man."
Let's hope so, luv. I di have a good feling about Saturday, but it's too close to call. I may even have a ticket for Saturday. I'd be happier if I was there, especially on The Kop. I can't stand watching these matches on telly
Its not necessarily their defence where they can be got at, its and I've said this all along is the centre of midfield. They will be again dealing with a different sort of animal to FT in Luis Suarez. Whereas FT never got involved in the build up, this boy is never out of the action, he drops deep, wins posesssion and at times plays as a ball winning midfielder. He tackles as well and as cleanly as anyone, he's a livewire. Thats not mentioning that blistering skill. Man United hate playing against Lucas, and we know that. Gerrard will also be fitter than he was in March, and Lucas and Gerrard mauled them in March. They battered Carrick and Scholes. If we can get Gerrard and Lucas to sit, just sit, and allow the others to advance forward, then we're on for a win. Suarez is well capable of teasing and tormenting them. John Aldridge is 100% spot on in his asessment.
