Suggested he is in the running for the Northern Ireland manager's job now Nigel Worthington is standing down after the Italy game.

Bad time for Ipswich to be managerless after their recent good run.

I know, pretty bad, if you ask me.

In other news, Saints sign Rudi Skacel. On loan, of course. We couldn't afford him for real, now could we..?

There's nothing to stop him doing both jobs. Keegan took the England job whilst still Fulham manager. I've got half a feeling that Hughes took the Blackburn job whilst still Wales manager.

    Nothing to fear Ipswich fans!

"Umm Qasr is a city similar to Southampton," UK defence minister Geoff Hoon said in the Commons yesterday.

"He's either never been to Southampton, or he's never been to Umm Qasr" says a British squaddie patrolling Umm Qasr.

Another soldier added: "There's no beer, no prostitutes and people are shooting at us. It's more like Portsmouth".

I saw someone tweet that so long as Dowie hasn't bothered to update his CV post-2004, then he's in with a great chance!

Are you sure he actually exists? He's mentioned for every job but never even interviewed.

I know, but I bet if he'd got the job instead of Worthington in the first place, we'd be much higher than we actually are in the rankings.

    **** Worthington <laugh>
