it's a home game - so Rochdale will pack out defence and midfield, we won't have any idea how to break them down, they'll catch us on the break at the end and McCann will blame everyone but himself
Co-op, Gracie fields, Lisa Stansfield, Bill Oddie, Anna Friel blah blah blah. Britain’s first automatic tills were tested in Castleton in the early 1980s, before being installed nationally in Asda stores across the country. The world’s first railway tunnel was built in Rochdale at Healey Dell. Cotton Famine Road celebrates the relief packages sent by Abraham Lincoln, when his port blockade to end slavery decimated the local industries and lead to wide scale famine. Hitler loved Rochdale Town Hall so much, he wanted it removing brick by brick to be rebuilt in Germany. Politician John Bright was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln, who had a portrait of him on his wall. A bust of John Bright is still on display in the Whitehouse. A single lavatory was built inside the town hall especially for Queen Victoria but, despite it being in full working order, it has never been used. Rochdale AFC played 36 consecutive seasons in the football leagues bottom division from 1974 to 2010. This is the longest any team has been in the bottom division. It stretched from the Lviv Bridge outside Number One Riverside in Smith Street to an opening in The Esplanade.
It was also the location for the Central Finance and Distribution function for Woolworths, one of the first major computer installations in UK outside of government and academia.
I know someone who goes in my local pub who is called Stansfield and comes from Rochdale. He isn't related to Gracie though. Or Lisa.
We'll win. It's the following four where we might struggle. For all Barton is a tit, him, Ferguson, Robinson and Cotterill* will all know how to deal with McCann's 'tactics' and set their teams up to do just that. Hope for 15/15, but think the return might be somewhat thinner than that. *re-admitted to hospital with Covid issues, so probably has a bigger battle to fight than City.
4 game winning streak against them, despite McCant, so we’ll definitely make it 5! Back to back wins tomorrow, no worries!
They are in absolutely abysmal form, we should be pasting them. They've only won 1 game this calendar year, played 6 in Feb and scored once.
Typical Dale fans... I've noticed (from BBC stats) that more often than not, when we have less % possession than the other teams but have lots of shots (some on target) we do well...
