Yeah he was player-manager for us, when we nearly went out of the league 1992-93. Big game that most Gills fans should remember because we had to beat Halifax....I think that's the same Halifax that no longer exists, albeit under a reformed name. I think they are called FC Halifax now. It was not long after that we went into administration and Scally bought us out for £1. He's the second manager we've lost of no age to speak these days. The other was Justin Edinburgh in very recent years, who went onto success with Leyton Orient.
