To understand it? Was Muhammed a military leader? Do wars involve peace? Maybe it was a peaceful war, you know, they kept the noise down etc... I have no preference with any religion, its all bollocks. Just had a read on Muhammed and he comes across as the kind of guy who today, would be in the Hague.

Sorry Cuckoo but it dosen't.I preaches peace towards non Muslims.There are many versions (perspecitives of) the Quran but none preach hate.Only the Preachers do that.
You do tend to find that Muslims get angry very easily, very quickly over silly stuff like cartoons and teddy bears bearing Muhammed praise be upon hims name.
