I agree to a point, I think they’re as dull as **** under this fella, but they look solid as well. I hope you’re right about today like.
Sarri II. He's using the same tactics, the same system, the same personnel to a large extent and getting the same performances. Not the most entertaining and highly focused on possession, but it's effective.
Injury update from Rodgers: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56231645 "It's not good news. He needs an operation. He'll be out for a minimum of six weeks. Part of the bone in his knee has come off, so he'll need it repaired."
Sounds like a broken patella, that’s a grim injury, and given its bad enough to require surgery, 6 weeks sounds extremely optimistic.
Other handball decisions this season. It's not coming at him quickly, there's no unexpected movement and his hand's not in a natural position.
Really? I thought both players are chasing the ball, both with their arms in virtually identical positions and the ball has just bounced off Odoi. It’s not like he’s spread himself to try and block a shot and the ball was moving away from the goal, so it wasn’t a desperate attempt at an interception. It was a nothing incident and not worthy of a penalty for me.
It wasn’t desperate but what’s his hand doing there? I wouldn’t have a problem with that kind of incident being only worth of an indirect free kick but I don’t see how the ref can look at it and decide no offence has been committed.
