If Fulham win today and we lose against West Brom I think that’s the nail in the coffin for Bruce. And he will blame injuries. Then the pundits will all back him up. Poor Bruce. Them NUFC fans don’t know what they are talking about.
If Palace win and we get a win vs brom we might scrape through, buti can't see it unless we get news max and Almiron are miraculously ok
There is still a very reasonable chance that NUFC will stay up, though it wont likely be confirmed until the final game of the season. But even if they do, what is the point? With the Saudi deal gone there is nobody else who will meet the price that Ashley wants, which means season after season just circling the drain until relegation eventually arrives. I just hope that some official news about the takeover breaks very soon, confirming what we all know anyway, so that we can just stop caring about this relegation battle.
Not for Bruce he's not getting sacked even if we go down plus no manager in their right mind or worth having would take the job while we're without max Wilson almiron and schar for the relegation fight. If the fans hadn't piped up Ashley might have got rid months ago, but if you try to push Ashley around he will do the very opposite.
If we survive I think Ashley will sell. To someone. I don’t think it will be PIF. Having said that. He’s done deals over in Saudi which makes you wonder? He wants out. I believe that for sure.
Nobody wants to buy the club... The Saudis are the only group that wanted to and actually had the money in the last 14 years... This notion that Ashley now wants to sell meaning all of a sudden he'll stop asking over the odds is a fallacy and this idea that buyers will be there queuing up to buy the club all of a sudden is fantasy. Mike ashley has always wanted to sell, but nobody ever offered what he wants.... Everything is for sale and always has been.
If we survive he will probably ramp up the effort to sell, maybe by dropping the price slightly or encouraging someone to take a share in the club. But I dont see that happening quickly. Would probably take another season or three to pull off. And at the same time he will gamble with the league position, aiming for 17th. He's not going to drop his price much though. The fact that he nearly secured almost £350m will just encourage him to hold out for something similar.
I think that price tag is over the top now due to covid. But I just think he’s had enough now. There’s going to be nothing left to sell soon.
It doesn't matter if he's had enough.. You cant just pop a football club on ebay... Its a hard sell.... Nobody wants it.
Me too it's got the look of a 0-0 atm We need Palace to win.... 3 points with a inferior goal difference means 3 points us a lead only worth a draw
The first thing he can do is sack Bruce and hire an up and coming manager. I hear the Bristol Rovers manager could be a good call.
Think he will try to get us up at the first attempt once again, by injecting yet another loan. Won't work this time though. Against a backdrop of toxicity and apathy that even he hasn't yet encountered, the club has no chance of coming back up. Once the reality of the situation dawns on him, that's when the restructuring will begin. He will try to balance keeping NUFC ticking over in mid table while clawing back his loans. We are looking at another decade of him owning NUFC IMO.
It does look like a 0-0. I agree. We need CP to win. Could do with Fulham getting some injuries aswell.
I think he means after we have been relegated in the championship. It would be good to have a young manager. Eddie Howe would be my choice if we get relegated.
