Yep, until Dec 19 you were in a good place.
Then in Jan 20 he sold up and left.

Who, Chris Farnell? Paul Elliott? The dentist? Check it out, Douchatelet sold the club to ESI a year before.

Duchatelet asset-stripped the Club and left it for dead.
Only natural that a Millwall fan will celebrate that and rub our noses in it.

If the Gentrification of Deptford had led to Millwall losing their ground, plenty of Charlton fans would have celebrated that.

Ahhh, so it was. If there's another bad defeat on Tuesday against the second bottom club I wouldn't be surprised if Sandgaard pulls the trigger. Bowyer/Gallen have failed to improve us in the transfer window, and players who have been discarded have done better elsewhere. Bristol fans rave about little Oz, and TS wants to trust the summer rebuild to a management team who will spend his money wisely. He also wants to see a team play attractive attacking football, and the last time we did that was against Wimbledon, with a team containing Williams and Maddison. Pearce, Pratley and Watson all played 90 minutes too.

Bowyer is a dead man walking. I can't see where the next point is coming from. I will not be buying another stream until things change. Which is a shame as I enjoyed the banter between Lisbie, Curbishley and Minto.

They were very gentle with Bowyer in the interview, understandably so.

What you have got to remember is that Bowyer is still learning his trade.
Not many rookie managers have had to put up with what he has - some baptism of fire.

    Can he turn it around?
Well he has in the past.
Getting rid now would be more knee jerk than his halftime subs!!

I do not think it would be knee jerk at all. The players do not want to play for him. We are heading for the lowest position in our history. It cannot be allowed to continue.

I'm confused. You've been telling us how bad a manager he is, how the players would do better if they were better coached, now you want us to keep him on!
A more cynical person than me might just suspect a tiniest amount of wumming.

It's a quiet Sunday over there.

Interestingly Reams has posted a link on there to the Rick Everitt piece posted above by @Dick Plumb1
Reams also described the piece as "spot on" I believe.

There is a story (rumour) going round concerning the reference Lee Bowyer made to knowing the reason why the team is struggling.
Some of the players are unhappy with their wages, and are not putting much effort in as a kind of protest.
    If true, that is disgraceful.
And presumably it must be quite a few of them. If it was only two or three, they could just be dropped and the rest of the squad could get on with it.

If many of the players have collectively decided that they aren't going to give 100% because they feel they aren't being paid enough, that's another reason to get rid of them at the end of the season.

You can be pretty sure those players are earning a lot more than the average wage for people their age, in the middle of a crisis which has seen the economy shrink 10% and millions of young people facing unemployment.

Not only do I want those greedy, selfish players off our books, I hope none of them get new contracts on good money with other Clubs. Let them learn what it's like to have to work hard for a pittance instead of jog round a training ground a bit and bank more in a week than I earn in two months.

They are not fit to wear a Charlton shirt.

In fact, in my eyes they're no better than Lyle Taylor and Chris Solly.
In some ways worse - at least Taylor and Solly were honest enough to say out loud that they would not play.
They didn't put on our kit and walk out onto the pitch with the intention of not bothering.
    Effectively throwing games.

If true, that's their problem. They signed the contracts.

Apparently it is to do with the lifting of the salary cap in League One.
When the players signed their deals they knew the circumstances. Now the cap is gone, some of them suddenly want more money.

Another triumph for the EFL, imposing a questionable rule then just removing it halfway through the season.
Shame on the players though if it's true.
Should Bowyer lose his job, he should name names.
Let the fans know who has let down the Club.

I don't usually pay much attention to rumours, but this one makes sense. I imagine the loanees will be getting more because of the proportion of their wages being paid by the parent club. Add to that the handsome salary which Lee Bowyer is reportedly getting and the situation makes sense suddenly. It might be a general sense of grievance, but if they've made a conscious decision to not try then that is horrendous. I would suggest a clear-the-air meeting.
