Saw this and thought it was interesting...

    Daily mail - referee bonuses

... you'd think they'd ve more determined to get things right if this is true, especially when reviewing the monitor.

I would assume from what I see that they have a cosy agreement that var agreeing with on field means no losses.

The amount of look again views has dropped and last week the manc ref only went through motion of running over and back for show.

The only way to go imo is to force them to at least state out loud the evidence and review so we can all hear the excuses.

Was watching the cricket during the week and while it was a debacle every review was crystal clear. Umpire called fair delivery and the terms of review and the guy is miked up as he sorts through review.

Imagine Martin Atkinson on various trying to explain how he places offside lines randomly

    LOL.

Fans moan about refs decisions when it suits, when a ref has a good game, it never gets a mention.

I think they’re a mixed bag tbh, some good, some average, a couple of ****ers.

They need to get the VAR use right, remember it's all about clear and obvious errors, and get IFAB to change the offside rule to take account of the VAR era, so we can lose the lines ****.

It's never a penalty. DCL is already going down after he knees Trent in the head.
I've already said we didn't deserve to get anything from the game, so no axe to grind here - just a football fan's desire to see consistency and fairness wherever possible. It's an idiotic decision.

Absolute garbage, have a look at the still at the start of the video on the link I posted.

Arnold slid in front of him without challenging for the ball, where the **** was he supposed to go? He tried hurdling him to get to the ball - and an open goal, and Arnold tripped him as he was going over him, it was a penalty all day long.

No he’s sat up looking clean at DCL hurdling him to get to the ball and he tripped him, it’s not even a debate.

Try taking the red tinteds off and actually looking at the image at the start of the video on the link I posted.

I don’t understand how anyone can seriously try and pretend that’s not a penalty tbh.

You mean the one where Arnold has slid in front of DCL running towards the ball without challenging for the ball himself, that one? Yeah I’ve seen it,

So now go and look at the one I actually mentioned, go on......

    I’ll wait.

You mean where TAA has slid in the block the shot?

how about have a look at the side on vid here 3:45 to 3:47. Most people have said how taa raises his leg.. but he doesn’t. The only time his leg goes up ever so slightly is when DCL is already on the floor.

DCL takes 3 steps before he makes contact with TAA’s head with his knee.

So you’re saying that a defender laying on the floor should get out the way of someone who takes 3 steps before running into them? TAA is on the floor just inside the area, DCL runs about 4 yards before falling over in line with the penalty spot.

He didn’t block the shot, he slid in front of him, DCL was trying to get over him to get to the ball from Allison spilling the shot, and he clearly raises his leg and makes contact to ensure he hits the deck and doesn’t get to the ball.

did you watch the video? I’m guessing not given you’ve said he raises his leg to ensure he goes down... as the video clearly shows that doesn’t happen.

The refereeing standards in this country are horrific
Banged on about this for a few years now
They are acting like petulant children over VAR
    imho
No incidents being specified as don’t need to as everyone can point to incidents and inconsistencies.
Nowhere near the amount of mess with VAR across Europe or indeed the world
Odd ****ed up decision but generally many decisions are correct and with no fuss.

I’ve seen it a dozen times, and it clearly does.

That happens at the other end and no one bats an eyelid when it’s given, least of all Sourness, Carragher and you.

Then again I bet you thought this was a stonewaller lol.
