have to say I'm quite into Plan B, I like his soulful take on what is this generation's contemporary music. Adele's not really my thing, but she is quality at what she does, and least she writes her stuff, and CAN sing. there's another young london lad doing something similar to Plan B, but with a slightly more guitar based sound, he has down Jools Hollands Later, but I can't for the life of me remember his name, he has really unusual vocal, the kind you either like, or grates on you.
found him, it's this dude. he stood there at the "later" studio, looking like an 80's casual, then he opened his mouth and this voice came out
A bit Finlay Quay on first listen. I also got Kasabian - Velociraptor. Not listened yet. Just been spinning round some villages here in Somerset looking for a good pub to eat and listening to Plan B again, very good. Been meaning to buy it for bloody ages. Right, off to the pub down the road for food, cider and a bit of football hopefully.
my eldest just bought Velociraptor we'll play in the car when I take her to Reading Uni at the weekend

The good thing about Plan B is that he's not a one trick pony. His first album was rap, his second album is soul and he's announced his next album will be reggae...Good to see variety. BTW Maverick Sabre is one of his boys and Plan B has mentored him over the last year or so.
I agree. I usually hate that kind of thing but you've gotta give it to the girl, she is extremely talented. I'm not usually into the remix thing but I found a great reggae version of rolling in the deep that really works well -
sky did you see little roy on jools covering nirvana? works very well for me. and maverick was on buzzcocks tonight, tunns tip for good things to come from him
