That's actually such an appalling attitude to have considering we have 15 games left to play and we're 3rd. Fans can be pessimistic about promotion given our current form, but what does it do to the morale of the players when your own manager is sliding his excuses for failure in early with almost a third of the season left to go? Where's the ambition, the passion or drive to succeed when the gaffer's attitude is 'oh well, we'll try again next season, lads, no worries' before the season's even over? Worst manager of the club in my lifetime and also the most arrogant. His confidence he'll be in charge next season even if we don't go up just confirms he's going nowhere.
We are third but every team above us and in the top six have several games in hand. Realistically if those games are played we would struggle to be in the play offs
The arrogant prick.....I just want him gone. I might adopt his attitude " ah well I might pay £10 to watch tomorrow but if not there's always next season" How sad to think that if the owners and the management don't give a stuff why should we pay to watch them not giving a stuff. I wish I could have just 10 minutes with Ehaw and Terry to say what I really think of them. Bollocks to em I say, time for bed.
The likelihood we will either batter them like Wigan or lose 1-0, I'm going for the latter. The trend is horribly like last season. In the first half of the season where we play teams for the first time, we do OK. By the 2nd half of the season, coaches have sussed us out, as we always play the same way and they stop us playing. It's now happening in the 2nd season, surely the people who employ him see that? Well, McCann has now come out and stupidly thrown in the comment that we may not get promoted, because of his own incompetence. What a guy, I'm surprised he will ever get back down Sandy Row as his head is too big now.
I used to think it was naivity when McCann't opened his mouth in these pressers .. but the more I listen to him the more he shows it isn't naiveity.. its pure arrogance. Not only is he clueless regarding tactics and man management .. he actually does think he is doing a good job ! I'm surprised his and Ehabs egos actually fit in the same room. Anyway back to the game .. away day .. playing our preferred counter attacking style .. I do suspect we'll scratch out a scruffy win .. thereby extending daft lads belief that he is the next messiah... or is he just a naughty boy ! (Forgive the Month Python reference).
I wonder if the reason we beat Wigan and Swindon is because they don’t have the same manager they did before.
The more I read, the worse my fear is that rather than heading in one direction, we will be heading in the other... imagine you said to your boss, "I might get it done this week, who knows, but if I dont get it done this week, I'll get it done next week, or maybe the week after... thats if there aren't any issues of course in which case it will be later"... Likely, if we dont go up this season, Emmanuel, Elder, Greaves, Burke, Docherty, Wilks and even maybe Honeyman will not be here next.
He is incredibly naive, that's for sure. It was evident from day one and he's proved it over and over again since. I'm not sure it's arrogance. I honestly think it's just that he's not very good (near useless), both on and off the pitch. For example, if he were that arrogant, there is no way that he would have taken that opening spiel from Burnsie in his last past match interview. He's just very very poor imo.
Celebrating our 6th Grandchild born early this morning so being in a good mood I reckon we’ll win today. Baby boy - 8 lb 3 oz UTT.
With games in hand from teams both below and above us it’s starting to get to the stage now where we not only have to win today but need another run of 4/5 wins on the trot. We’ve done it before but our inconsistency plus recent manager comments doesn’t exactly inspire. It can be done and needs to start today but no wonder after some poor defeats and the recent mid week performance many now have their doubts. Still think we could have done with a couple of more experienced players dishing out orders when it gets a bit tough. However we have what we’ve got, there is a decent squad there, manager I’m not keen on but we will find out over the coming weeks if it’s enough.
This is a pro-Europe board. Only gammons use the disgustingly-named 'imperial' measurements these days. Use metric instead, please.
