Problem with that is when the food is thrown out into 'waste', it's no longer safely stored. We get people dipping into our bins and taking stuff but that stuff's been in with raw meat, old egg yolks and flies, seriously dangerous.

A big one we get is people nicking cheese and meat and selling it onto pubs cheap. That meat is LETHAL so not only is it annoying that people rummage in our bins, they're putting people's health at risk with OUR name on it!

I don't see how it would be difficult to have a regular 'donation' pickup around the major food retailers, say at 4:30pm every night a refridgerated van goes round collecting the decent stuff that's getting wasted (some stuff HAS to go) and takes it to soup kitchens or even to be ground up for farmyard slurry or something. Our shop isn't too bad but we 'have to' waste off £150+ of decent stuff a week, mostly bread with two days date on it.

I remember it being said that sell by dates were being scrapped and it just being BBE. Never happened.

    Simpson's really fast too.

  3. Simpson is fast but i don't think he has the beasty acceleration or sprint speed of Marv, Ober and Ben Arfa.

    Microsleeps
Microsleeps occur when a person has a significant sleep deprivation. The brain automatically shuts down, falling into a sleep state for a period that can last from a second to half a minute. The person falls asleep no matter what activity he or she is engaged in. Microsleeps are similar to blackouts and a person experiencing them is not consciously aware that they are occurring.
An even lighter type of sleep has been seen in rats that have been kept awake for long. Local regions went into periods of short (~80 ms) but frequent (~40/min) NREM-like state. Despite the on and off periods where neurons shut off, the rats appeared awake, although they performed worse at tests.

and on topic obertan although samiobi and marveux are probably not far off.

Jewish Cuisine is a collection of the different cooking traditions of the Jewish people worldwide. It is a diverse cuisine that has evolved over many centuries, shaped by Jewish dietary laws (kashrut) and Jewish Festival and Sabbath traditions. Jewish Cuisine is influenced by the economics, agriculture, and culinary traditions of the many countries where Jewish communities have existed and varies widely throughout the world. In turn, Jewish cuisine has also influenced the cuisines of many countries.

Broadly speaking, the distinctive styles or cuisines in their own right that may be discerned in Jewish cuisine are: Ashkenazi (Central and Eastern European), Sephardic (descendants of the Iberian Jews, including Italian, Greek, Turkish and Balkan), Mizrahi (North African, including Moroccan, Tunisian, Algerian and Libyan), Judeo-Arab (Lebanese, Syrian and Iraqi), Persian Jewish, Yemenite Jewish, Indian Jewish, and Latin-American Jewish. There are also distinctive dishes from Jewish communities ranging from Ethiopia to Central Asia.

Furthermore, since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, and particularly since the late 1970s, a nascent Israeli "fusion cuisine" has developed, adopting and adapting elements of all the aforementioned Jewish styles, new dishes based on agricultural products introduced and grown since 1948, and incorporating other Middle Eastern fare and international cuisines.

And I'm not so sure about Marv, he looks quick, but not unusually so, like Obertan.

Also fair to say they stole all their 'national' dishes from their neighbouring countries.
