Max has been signed as a back-up left back, he's played almost all his professional career at left-back and that's where we'll play him when he's fit (I think he was actually a centre back at England youth level).
I believe WawneTiger is right, in that he was through the academy a midfielder, and at the time the standout prospect. I remember discussing this with someone involved during those times. Not sure how the switch to LB came about, but I seem to think that it was more out of a necessity (as in to plug a gap). Never looked a natural LB to me, but maybe he's grown into the role, or maybe he is still a midfield option, but I expect several of our current midfielders are anyway now well ahead of him.
He did, but that was as a youth loan player five years ago, he's played over 70 games at left-back since then.
He played for our ressies quite a bit centre mid and was poor They used to get very frustrated with him the coaches. Any one remember er his hoofs into touch at left back for us in the championship? Let’s hope he’s improved 100%
Wasn’t a one off hoof either, at least a couple times a game. Hopefully he’s improved but I wasn’t sad to see him leave last time. Never know he could do a good job for us in a lower league.
Hull City could be set for a welcome boost ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Wigan Athletic, Grant McCann has revealed. Midfielder Alfie Jones is on the verge of a return to the side after recovering from a hamstring injury picked up in the win over Swindon at the end of January, while attacking duo Tom Eaves and Gavin Whyte are also nearing a return.
Gavin Whyte is back for Saturdays trip to Doncaster Rovers and Grant McCann has reported no fresh injuries in the aftermath of Wednesday nights big win at Wigan. He’s also revealed captain Ritchie Smallwood doesn’t need knee surgery.
Could hold the (don) key to our season. sorry I’m sure klp and magennis have (don) key like features too. Don’t want to upset our mdt snowflakes
