Grateful, we had a purple patch a month or so ago, and was able to pull ourselves from the relegation zone. Just a couple more wins, and we should be mathematically safe. We go again, with the same setup next season!
Shows the mindset of these players. They really don't care, you can tell there is no passion! Aston Villa gave this lot more of a game than us.. I would like to know what our wage bill is in comparison to villa, and the cost of our squad?
You can call me tedious till the cows come home, but you’ve been making things up and getting basic facts wrong throughout the entire discussion. I’m not going to just let that slide because you find me boring. To be honest, this discussion wasn’t meant to escalate this far. But it is what it is. Let’s just agree to disagree and move forward now.
Anyway, on the game tonight, I feared the worst when it was 1-0 and thought we’d be in for a drubbing. The performance still wasn’t great, but we held our own and looked ok defensively. City are unfortunately a very good team both in and out of possession, and controlled the game very well. We barely created anything and that’s testament to City’s solidity. We didn’t disgrace ourselves and we move on to Benfica.
COYG!!! Gutted because I'm currently living 20 minutes from the Olympiakos stadium where Arsenal is playing tonight, shame the games are a lockout!! Let alone the fact we have a 9pm curfew over in Athens at the moment! Anyway, good luck to the team...the first 20 minutes are so so important tonight!!
Need to be very careful now. If benfica score again, it’s over. I don’t see us scoring 2 at that point.
The more I watch Bellerin the more frustrated I get. Attacking down that right is so stilted compared to Tierney. Bellerin has no end product so it's so limited. Can't cross for toffee. Jeez.
How is Willian - Artetas suggestion to fix this?! Sure Partey makes sense but Willian over Martinelli/Pepe/Lacazette?!
He must know something we don't know! We need a couple of goals, he brings on a player whose confidence is shot to pieces! Arteta is really mugging us off.
This performance is ****. Arteta's mini-revolution bought him a bit of faith from me. But the wheels have come off AGAIN. Pedestrian ****e football full of individual errors yet again. Season this close to being over in February and that's in a season whixh started a month late. Urgh.
We've been Ok, Mainly just errors costing us. We look alot better with Partey on the pitch now though.
The 25 minutes I've seen have been pedestrian. No-one moves when they pass. No give and go. Just give. So static. No movement. So dull. And Benfica are so bang average. 11 men behind the ball. Gifted three ****e goals. **** me. So boring.
