I see that after this weekend's results we are no longer in the top three as favourites for the drop. Now being quoted at 5/4 against.Someone has noticed that we are not easy fodder for the Premiership big boys.
Judging from a betting comparison site, the current favourites for relegation look like this: Swansea, Wigan, Blackburn, Norwich, Bolton, QPR, Wolves, West Brom, Sunderland. I think that's a little hard on Swansea at this point in the season, and Bolton look in a far worse position than that to me. Although I guess they may have more money in the kitty to try and spend their way out of trouble come January (if it's not too late).
Ahh its all part of the parcel of being a newly promoted team lads. You win one week and apparently your gonna finish in the top half, lose the next and your dead certs for relegation! Pundits are apparently calling it 'Worrying' that we (Swansea) are yet to pick up any away points. But then i suppose everyone is expected to get something away to Man city, Arsenal and Chelsea aren't they! Ridiculous.
Norwich, QPR & Swans will always be tipped for relegation until it is not mathematically possible and perhaps with some justification on previous team that have come in the PL. As for - Pundits are apparently calling it 'Worrying' that we (Swansea) are yet to pick up any away points. But then i suppose everyone is expected to get something away to Man city, Arsenal and Chelsea aren't they! Ridiculous. Just goes to show how the pundits minds work! i.e. not especially well as they obviously do not take all things in to account, just the stats in front of them.
I must admit, I'm very worried that we (Norwich) got nothing at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford! Shows for sure that we're going down How come the Swans name is first on the list? They are only below us on goals scored - gd is identical! Pundits
anyone see MOTD2 on Sunday? Dion Dublin was on it, and when asked of the new boys what do you look for in terms of positive signs of being able to stay up, he said something like 'creating chances' and 'defensively strong', ...'norwich are showing all these signs'
I guarantee you at least 2 of the 3 will stay up, I was worried badly for Norwich and Swansea after the 1st 4 games, as I didn't believe they had the know how to win games, but are now proving me wrong with 2 wins and the last 3 games and having lost away games to top teams. Think Blackburn, Wigan and another will go.
Allright lads, don't worry you and us (Swansea) will stay up. Your a good footballing team with good fans and are a credit to the Premier League. See you soon
I do hope so.Swansea were my favourites to go up with us and I enjoyed the Swans-Reading game nearly as much as our finish at Pompey.A nice footballing side and nice people when I have been there on business.
well done, col-who mike, you've just about guaranteed the Budgies a Champions League place with that prediction... please log in to view this image nice one, mate!!
Nice one Wellie! Good to see Robbie Cowling cutting the player budget ready for their inevitable slide into league two. Prudence with no ambition.
