He's improving from his awful qualifying's last year that's one of the reasons why he's beating Lewis
Who actually thought Jenson couldn't win in the dry though, if I recall he won a world championship. Jenson still hasn't matched Lewis in qualifying and probably never will BUT as long as he is near the front the man can always win races.
Yes, a massive improvement on last year. Still had a few quali-wobbles this year but generally he has done a better job. Is this years McLaren better at getting heat into the Pirelli's quickly which has given him a helping hand?
I think Button agonises about setup, so he can't do himself justice in the frenetic Quali. He probably has doubts in the subconscious that the car is not EXACTLY right, and does not 'wring it's neck'. Other drivers seem able to push beyond what is wise for that specific lap.
I dont see an issue with his qualy atm. Last year and the beggining of this definately but not now. Compare him to Hamilton since Hungary. He's been ahead twice (due to Hamilton only doing one run, but no big gap in pace) 2 more of those 5 he was 0.05 behind lewis. Given Lewis's reputation for raw pace. Id say he's doing pretty well.
