Looks a lot slimmer in the nose and around the engine, some fairly hefty-looking bits of carbon fibre to attach the rear wing? They look a lot more significant than the 2020 car.
I noticed that too. Maybe blow rear wing? Although I thought they stopped that, maybe they have found a gap in regs?
Interesting front scoop up the side of the nose. Looks like either Adrian spotted something others didn't or they are trying to fool people into looking at that aspect! Can't imagine that if it really is a loophole they would show it this early! Rear floor does look a bit more 2021 than some others but maybe missing details.
Just read something interesting although not sure how true it does sort of make sense. During a chat with Mika Salo he happened to mention that Ferrari's punishment for using excess fuel/lub was for them to be restricted on fuel flow for last year! Sort of makes sense? So 2021 might see ferrari and their customers closer to the front if they are allowed to run same fuel flow as rest. It would seem an apt punishment to be restricted to the same percentage under as they were over on their '2019 full power pu'! Hopefully we will get challeges from red bull, ferrari and maybe McLaren?
I can't believe that, it makes no sense that the FIA would destroy 3 teams chances in a year just to get back at the main team? Surely they are more seneible than that. I do hope Ferrari is back in the fight this season, last season was aweful to watch them struggle so much with an obviously weak engine. If they can get to a level ground with all the engines in time for the freeze, then I would be happy.
I think it was to get back at Ferrari the engine manufacturer, not Ferrari the racing outfit, fundamentally. It seems pretty clear that Ferrari were cheating sensors in a way that couldn't fully be proven in 2019, but would have been in 2020. I believe they added an extra sensor? Because the settlement was so late in pre-season, Ferrari engines would have had to be an older spec (probably pre-2019 before they worked out the cheat), or a downtuned 2020 model. The alternative would have been disqualifying every Ferrari powered car in 2020 until they fixed the fuel-flow irregularity.
I read that as well but didn't Williams have a deal with merc to use their gearboxes as well just announced recently?
