So are you saying that if cooper was captain of a team with quality players they would be invincible ??? a load of tosh , leeds have just come up from the championship we have some very good players but the captains job is to inspire , and lead none of which cooper did in the first half of arsenal match and many other matches. for your information below is the definition of a captain of a football team one of which is holding his nerve i still have nightmares of the derby county match at elland road where captain calamity ( lost my nerve cooper ) reared up .
In soccer, a captain is the player who is supposed to act as the leader of the team, acting as mediators between their team-mates, the manager and the referee.
Six attributes of a captain of a football team is on the link below , does this sound like Cooper not a chance. ! https://www.soccercoachweekly.net/s...six-attributes-to-look-for-in-a-team-captain/

I said nothing of the sort!

I notice that you appear to understand what is required from a captain, but are only interested in the negative aspects. Going by your definition, let me answer that Cooper has been chosen (not imposed, as everywhere else) by the team & endorsed by the management. So if he's not doing his job, as you ridiculously advocate, you criticise our team and our management too. There's no getting away from that. It's all in your own words.

So where's the love for a captain that wins more games than he loses?
Where's the love for a captain that steered us through promotion?
Where's the love for a captain who has continued to lead us in the PL?

Clearly winning doesn't count for you when assessing captains, so why even discuss with you when you're clearly just out to complain about something without even making a correct & comprehensive assessment?

mistakes that many leeds fans know cooper does is not in my words ask many leeds fans and you will finaly open your ears to it , instead o blaming others as liam has done for many seasons , i will agree he works his socks off in training but training is not the same as a live match , i am a believer in hard work making up for lack of skill but one thing that cooper cannot make up for is when the pressure is on he disappoints and loses his nerve as was the case against derby in that play off , ok i will admit he improved after that but he still does those silly mistakes so for me and thousands of leeds fans we need more quality and someone that will inspire leeds as captain which cooper has NOT , someone with the track record for other teams to look at and say, yes he has done it . You yourself always look through rose spectecales when talking about leeds , im not too bothered about that as im a leeds united fan also but you got to look realistically at our defence which is one of the worst in premier league and cooper as you put it is at the heart of it and also uninspiring displays at times which is a captains job to pick us up whick cooper has not done . 1-0 loss tonight at wolves also wont help coopers cause.

Put some grammar in that pile of pish & I might think of reading it. But probably not, as it'll most likely still be a load of pish with the grammar applied. <doh>

grammer is my 2nd name LOL , and yours is less grammer than mine in your native scotland ha ha , no wonder your not learning about cooper by not reading negative reviews of him , alot of Leeds utd fans know what im saying and so do you deep down but wont admit it , we need 1st to demote cooper to just another player in his position , and promote PHILIPPS to captain at the moment with PHILIPPS out till he comes back put AYLING as captain , then philipps can take over when he is back , the idea of demoting cooper is not to humiliate him but as another team member when he makes howlers and mistakes that have cost leeds utd in the past , we can then drop him to subs bench and give aspiring youngsters a chance to come in such as shackleton who is learning his trade and started to play better or other defenders hopefully a defender that is 6ft 3 to cope with corners against leeds and strikers over 6ft from opposition as usually leeds like to go for midgets .

Leeds need 3 wins to be safe 15 matches left should easily do it , we missed Philipps last night , don't think wolves would of scored if Leeds had Philipps playing

Also cooper was chosen a long time ago and times have changed since then , we are now in the premier league up against quality players like triora and others , and for me Philipps who is now an England international should be captain

If we're looking to improve for next season I think he'll just be a useful squad player.

Just my opinion before anyone kicks off

I think Cooper has had a better season than Ayling and Ayling has probably made more mistakes that have led to goals too.
