I know, i never said he shouldn’t come off. it was replacing our main DMF with Moussa, who played LW, leaving a huge hole in the middle of the grassy thing.
The KWP and Big Vester combination is so key to Ralph's system, how many diagonals did we see tonight from the CBs. It really can be down to one player missing to upset the whole balance especially if you haven't got a natural replacement. KWP is a massive miss at both ends and Stuey is better with him playing too. I would give the captain's armband to Oriol after tonight too.
Tella was our best attacker by a distance. Armstrong wasn't on it for once, Redmond and Che were (again) anonymous, the game had already shifted in the wrong direction by the time Ings and Minamino were introduced. Without a fully functioning attack, our way of playing will always leave us open to regular defeats - it's not like a Burnley or a Palace, who can just dig in for a scrappy 1-0. Decent first half, and a regret that we didn't go in the lead. But second half we were awful from back to front. 3-0 and could have been double that.
It wasn’t a view in fairness, he asked a Q. Ralph needs to pick up points pretty quickly, we are the ones in free fall, similar to Bournemouth last year and Swansea a few seasons back.
Sorry,I don’t want to be negative I really don’t but if we don’t beat the bottom team.... possibly likely to be relegated themselves then I think we will. Sorry
Mildly contrary view but I don’t think effort is the issue. I see individuals still working hard and committing to the 50:50. But we have zero confidence, no depth in important positions and a talismanic striker who looks a shadow of the guy he was 6 months ago.
I think most of us would agree that if we had our first choice XI fully fit, we are a good side. Trouble is we only have about 11 senior players who are good enough!! No depth whatsoever because our owner wont invest and until that changes, we will struggle over the course of a season.
I think the holes in the grassy thing can take some of the blame for tonight. In fact ****it, I’m blaming the pitch for the whole ****ty debacle
Absolute rubbish. He’s no snowflake. He knew what he was getting into. He’s not going to give up just because of a bad run. If he did, it would ruin his career.
I get your point about KWP, but Ralphs job is to come up with other ideas. Just sticking someone else there really isn’t working, and he is paid a ****load of money to have the solutions. Seriously, I think a s a forum we all need to know it is ok to Q how the manager is doing, and Q how the hell we are doing. I dont know any other club that keeps a manager after the 0-9 last season, which came off another **** run, then has another the following season, inthe middle of taking 1 point from 24. I hope he sees this through, but if we are still winless after the next 5 games, I’m not sure he will be.
