Surely you mean bounce off magennis’s foot to our midfield. He’s useless, but would be an improvement atm

It's probably resting legs the reason they didn't start but Wilks looks like a winger playing as a 9. That back line looks like they could be bullied but no-one on the pitch to do it.

True, I was being harsh on the lad, mostly cause he's struggled to get a touch on the ball which is hardly his fault given how piss-poor we've been in general. Honeyman's been worse. That free-kick on the halfway line was amateurish stuff. Reminded me of that ridiculous Henry and Pires penalty for Arsenal.

I don’t see how Magennis coming on would actually change anything. We aren’t getting the ball to where Magennis would be, the problem is we can’t actually get hold of the ball for more than two passes. Get hold of the midfield, we can build from there. Bringing on Magennis would just encourage more aimless lumping forward of the ball.

It would allow Wilks to drop into his favoured position and at least give their defenders something to think about .. at the minute it's too easy for them

We'll see in the second half. There's no way he won't be coming on at this rate.

It's his runs off the ball that create the space BTW, same with the wide forwards running in off the flanks create the space for the fullbacks to get forward.

Crowley looks pretty on the ball but actually contributes very little, he's a luxury we can't afford.

Commentator after 38 mins : 'Paul Lambert urging his team forward. Cliff Byrne stood with his hands in his pockets. Grant McCann in the dug out'.

Pretty much sums it up really.

****e ball control must be a prerequisite for getting into a McCann team- can you control the ball - no - you're in - next, can you control the ball - yes - **** off - next etc

I get that but he still has to put out a balanced team. The tactical genius talks about not playing square pegs in round holes then plays Docherty as a holding midfielder when no need. It also limits attacking options from the bench if he needs to change things around.
