I agree, Bruce has to top it. I must emphasise, consistently, he's utterly hopeless at his job and a rancid human to boot. There's no worse combination
Sounness by an absolute country mile. He inherited the best team/squad we've had in the past 20 years and immediately set about dismantling it for no real gain - how much did we get for the combined talents that Robson left behind? Barely anything, they were flogged off for the sake of flogging and replaced with more expensive and less talented players, it was like active sabotage, Sounness was given good money and got rid of a crop of great young players to replace them with bang average performers. It was an admission that developing youth was just a bit beyond him whilst acting under the guise of being the hard man. It would be like someone going into Chelsea now and selling off the likes of Mount, Chillwell, Hudson-Adoi, Pulisic, etc and replacing them with half our players whilst also paying out a chunk in fees and upping the wages.
