You've missed us (unless you mean literally seen by you, perhaps?) ... winning the League One title in 2008 was the start of our resurgence as a club ... 8 years later we lift the Holy Grail...

I kept trying to think if I'd seen Leicester. By the date you've now given of 2008, that would have been when we won the L2 play-off final against Shrewsbury. Which explains it.

Amazing Stats 1

Only 6 teams have failed to win the Premier league when top at Christmas...

Norwich, Leeds, Arsenal, Newcastle, United and Liverpool...

Including this season Liverpool have done it 5 times and are the ONLY team to have done this since 2008...4 times.

So the question is...

Spursy or wot?

Updated list...

How many of the current Prem clubs have I seen in the third tier of English football.

Man City
Wolves
Leeds
Southampton
Crystal Palace
Burnley
Brighton
Fulham
Sheff Utd

Leicester City & Aston Villa have also been there, but I've not seen them personally.

So 9 clubs seen but 11 in total.

Easter 2008 we were at the brother-in-law's in Ross-On-Wye so I popped over to watch us play Hereford United on the Saturday ... went into a pub just off the Market Sq near the ground. Locals knew me for a Foreigner but we're smashing - even asked me back for another after the game. We won 3-1 and on the Easter Monday beat Leeds 1-0 which was decisive in our going on to win the League. Leeds then lost second to Peterborough. Really enjoyed League One. Proper fans.

League One is great, League Two footie is dire, I wanted to die when we were in L2. Always fancied a stint in the National League myself, some decent clubs in there. I think the NL is far better than L2, I think it's just years of difficulty to get out of the NL, that has made it what it is over the years.

Feel a bit cheated that I have never had to go through the final emotional kick of being relegated or the hope of being promoted.

Spurs are bad...really bad...boring as ****...can't defend ot attack...we are so **** that even Liverpool beat us!

Since Jan 1st premier league games:

pool P9 W2 D1 L6 pts 7 F9 A15 GD-6
Spurs P8 W3 D1 L4 pts 10 F10 A 10 GD0

So despite playing a game less spurs have won more, lost fewer, got more points, scored more and conceded less.

Very spursy to be fair

Proper fans. Think Fosse is calling you all plastic c*nts, I wouldn't stand for that.

You need to raise your less/fewer game there mate. You seemed to be doing well and then blew it spectacularly at the end.

Last time we got relegated, which was to L2, all the odds were in our favour to stay up, and gradually one by one all the results went against us as we lost at Wycombe. I think something like five other teams had to do better than us on the final day, and they all did. Worst day ever.

Relegation doesn’t hurt quite as much as you think it will. Very little beats the buzz of promotion.

So ending up in League One, then climbing back to the PL, (and Europe) is an experience I wouldn’t have missed for the world.

Anyway, don’t give up hope mate. There’s plenty of time for your club to implode and end up in the dungeon of despair. Followed (though this bit’s not guaranteed) by a magnificent resurgence.
