And then there's the added bonus that the 90 kilogramme tub of lard won't get a red card for acting like a petulant child.
Typical Sun.... His verdict isn't even till Thursday... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15241095.stm
That isn't true. He is an essential cog in the United machine. England don't have a machine. It's not easy being good when surrounded by ****.
He CAN be a vital cog in the UTD machine ala this season so far although you would think he wins it on his own, the way some UTD fans go on The thing with UTD is that they are a machine regardless of individuals. The loss of robson, cantona, keane etc are proof of this Rooney is a good player no doubt, but not top 10 in england never mind the world
Absolutely true. But whilst he's not the world beater the press would have us believe, nor is it always his fault when things go wrong.
agreed. I think its a bit much to blame him or any player for what is a team sport. I dont think rooney can handle the spotlight personally. for a dopey ****er beckham had it down to a T. I think for example that his hoo haa last season was based on his scoring so many goals the season before and simply cannot hack the 'fame' for want of a better word
We have qualified now so it doesn t really matter who plays now, Egypt i think in a friendly?...............Lambert?, hes a bit old now to break into the England squad
Suprised noone has mentioned Danny Welbeck to be honest. Has shown he can play up front as a target man. To be honest, watching him come through the ranks at United, I always had him pinned as a wide forward. He had the touch of Henry about him, the pace over the ground and a fantastic silky touch but he is more than that. Gets his head onto the ball and is quite strong. He has the technique of Berbatov but more pace which is why he and Rooney link well together.
Lambert deserves to be picked just for at least one friendly,he is such a humble guy. He could of easily have been as good or better than Rooney if he had had someone around him to help him through his problems when he was younger,Liverpool missed out on a great player.Yes he is a bit old now but I just can't help but wonder what might have been.
The ideal replacement for Rooney is John McCririck. He's got the physique and the gambling tips: please log in to view this image
Totally agree (almost)........do you really think there is a guy at Chelsea etc supervising the issue of cheques to players every week?
Even if Czech Republic do mess up it only puts Scotland in a playoff they are bound to lose. The amount of bitter, jealous Scots laughing at us on here is staggering - however badly we do we will still be 100 times better than you. You couldnt even make it out of the group stage at the Rugby WC! How embarrassing. GAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAA - WHATTTTTT A GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Rangers >>>> Celtic , btw
